Brahmastra with average performance on the box office and revenue from OTT and overseries will do enough for producers to break even.
They can however make good profits from part two and three for themselves and all other distributors and exhibitors involved only if they do two things
1. Get a better scriptwriter and focus on screenplay and dialogues
2. Release the part 2 before Diwali 2023 and part 3 before Diwali 2024.
Any delay beyond a year and same pathetic screen play and dialogues will screw up the revenue for part two and kill part 3
yes and 3. better casting of actors who suit the story
but I doubt it will happen, they were fearful movie will flop badly and now that it has done fine they will drink the coolade, because I read an interview of ayaan, he gave some roundabout answer to whether the dialogues were bad
he keeps saying love is the overarching theme, whereas love story was what that didnt work, so it has to be really recast into something deeper
next he will try to fix alia's role, but I feel she doesnt have the presence for period or larger than life roles like anushka (south) or deepika, aish, she is like jaya bhaduri, real, girl next door fits
he has to still work on script, shoot, sort casting, vfx quick release wont happen, unlike other sequels where they had already shot 50-60%
somewhere i read 2025 is next part
baahubali 2 worked because rajamouli fixed all weaknesses (misogyny, stronger female roles, taking out cringey romance, focussed strong script)
