Alka's songs are soothing and in a range where almost anybody can sing em. Thats why she is more favoured by masses who hop in on her songs.

Shreya on the other hand is more technical and her songs are literally hard to sing even the simple romantic ones due to her voice quality and the notes she take.

I say that Shreya is more versatile singer among the two.

Shreya all the way.

As I'm from South I have been grown up listening Shreya goshal songs. I have been a big fan of her vocals since my childhood. My journey with her started with "Okkadu" movie(She sang one beautiful song in that movie).. So I choose Shreya goshal.

But majority here chose Alka over Shreya, so now I want to go and check out Alka songs. I'm really not aware which songs she sang I guess it's because she never sang songs in South industry?
