Five reasons why Aish scores over Bebo

There are super hot actresses and then there are super hot stars. When it comes to Bollywood, all the catfights have settled for a while. The battle has now narrowed down to two leading ladies who have wowed us consistently not just with their sensuality and acting skills, but also with their bold and striking personalities. Yes, off-late Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai have been fierce competitors for the crown of Bollywood's most-coveted star actress. While the competition has been intensely fierce and will continue to remain so for some time now, Indiatimes Movies tells you five reasons why Aish scores over Bebo in the current situation...

Hype – The dividing factor
When it comes to our stars, there's always the issue of larger than life image. For most, stardom and starry airs go hand-in-hand. For others, it's all about letting their work speak for themselves and keeping their personal lives under wraps. And this is what distinguishes rock stars from superstars. So while the very hot Kareena Kapoor has been rocking the industry for quite some time and will continue to do in the years to come, the entire hype, in fact rumour, about her bikini and back revelation in Tashan disappointed her most staunch fans. On the other hand, even Aishwarya's strongest critics cannot argue that her super sexy avatar in Dhoom 2, complimented with a hot kiss between her and Hrithik, was anything less than promised.

Romancing real-time beaus
Adding to these women's charm and mystery have been their real-life beaus. And while Kareena and Ash both have had their best share when it comes to the same, the former has not been able to translate the chemistry onscreen. And before you get defensive about Jab We Met, the fact is that the couple broke up much before the film was shot even half-way. And as far as their first film is concerned, Fidaa went unnoticed at the box-office. History has repeated itself with Tashan, the super-hyped Yash Raj flick that saw Bebo and Saif getting hooked up on the sets. Meanwhile, Aishwarya created history with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, a love triangle with then boyfriend Sallu. Another testimony to the phenomenon is the super success of Guru. Though it wasn't the first time that Ash got together with Abhishek, it was their first film after rumours about the couple's relationship surfaced in the media.

Beyond Bollywood
Bollywood may be the world's second biggest film industry, but the best of Indian actors have reinstated their salability by exploring farther shores. Be it Kollywood that boasts of a literary touch or Hollywood that often introduces Indian actors through a mystic window, chartering into foreign territories does lend them that extra edge. And clearly, Aishwarya outwits Kareena on this front. Though Ms Kapoor has unconventional films like Dev and Chameli to her credit, exploring completely different avenues has definitely not been her forte. In what can be called a stark contrast, Aishwarya debuted with a Telegu flick Iruvar. Few years down the line, Kandukondain Kandukondain and Chokher Bali got added to her portfolio. And after scoring a hatrick in Hollywood with Bride and Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices and The Last Legion, Pink Panther is her latest project.

Heating up the global scene
Indian women are considered extremely beautiful and appealing on the global scene. And this factor should definitely help our Bollywood's leading ladies to gain some international recognition for themselves as well as India and its films. But surprisingly, our very bold Bebo who's a favourite with the NRI audience thanks to her KJo flicks doesn't yet have a space dedicated to her at the very coveted Madame Tussauds. Surpassing her effortlessly is Ms Rai who has not one but two wax statues – one at the Madame Tussuads Museum in London and the other at Times Square in New York. Jury membership at Cannes and playing international ambassador to brands like Longines and L'Oreal is now a way of life for Ms Rai who did not even has the backing of a filmy khandaan when she started out more than a decade back.

I'm sorry to say, but if Aish scores over bebo, I hope its not these reasons, coz these reasons are pathetic. Hit movies with ex boyfriends? Actually Sallu is an Ex EX boyfriend, not even ex, and I dont know why the article didnt even mention Vivek.
Fame beyond bollywood? With these reasons, forget kareena, Aish scores over every legend in bollywood like Kajol, Madz, Sridevi. None of those actresses did foreign films either, so does that mean they're below Aish?

I agree Aish is a self-made person for somebody not from the Industry, but it would be unfair (and Im not a Bebo fan 🤢) to disregard Kareena hard work over the years.
They both had their ups and down in their careers.
What they do & date in their personal life (BF - does this means that when you dated a Shahid Kapoor then a Saif Ali Khan that means you have moved up the ladder... FREAK!!!) has no reflection on the success of their career.
Aish foreign movies have been either flops or average success so far, but she is experimenting, and hats off to that. She is daring to take up challenges.
Aish Best Movies: Taal, Hum Dil De Chukke Sanam, Devdas, Raincoat, Jodha-Akbar
Bebos Best Movies: Chameli, Jab We Met, Dev, Omkara
So see its not so much the quantity but the quality of work that matters.
Aish is paid about 4-4.5 Crs while Bebo post JWM 3.5 Crs
Aish, I admit does has international appeal, while Bebo not so much.

The bf reasons in this article are lame...seriously
But for me why ash scores over bebo is cause of her movies like dhoom 2 were better than tashan even tho both were hyped...dhoom lived upto the expectations just like Jodha Akbar...

The point is, the reasons were the dumbest ones I've read so far. I personally prefer kareena over Aish, but that's not why i have a problem with this article. Even Aish's fan have to admit that these are not reasons why an actor should be considered great.
None of the reasons mention anything about doing challenging cinema, or awards or anything like that. Instead, the reasons focus on dating previous bfs and their star power along with over seas appeal.

in my opininon kareena is way better in acting than ash , ash is too fake at delivering dialogues this is my opinion.

IMO you can't compare the two.

Both have very different careers and have very different acting abilities. Also, Aish has been around much longer than Kareena.....and its obvious that Aish is more known on an international level because she did once hold the Miss World title.

these 2 actresses are as different as chalk & cheese. i don't see how they can be compared in any way. if aishwarya was compared with someone like sushmita, lara or priyanka, all of whom hold ms world or miss universe titles & have a career in bollywood because of the competition then maybe the comparisons could be more valid.😊

frankly speaking i never liked kareena or aishwarya much before nor did i think they were credible actresses. however they both changed my opinion last year with JWM & Guru so acting wise they're on the same level with me.😊
