Ayan in ten years couldn't do what I(or anybody with an internet connection can do) did in 2 minutes says more about his ability than it says anything about me.

hey, My post didn’t meant to offend you or taunting you. it was my real opinion. Ayan’s Vanarastra and Nandi astras are cross breed of Ayan’s mythology, fiction and Marvel Universe😆

The reason why a Harry Potter or Marvel or LOTR have done so well or even a GOT is that they are fantasies but their inspiration is from world mythology.

Example Stan Lee researched about Norse Mythology.

GOT about the Dutch myths and Harry Potter from various retelling and great vfx

Yes it was fictionalised and fantasy but there was basic research done and there was an element of emotional connect with the characters. That is why the fandom is huge and there is constant debate. There is a retelling and has a significant base.

Ayan and KJO already had already an Indian mythology base that has been debated and discussed from atleast a thousand years. Using a little more research, dialogues, screenplay and acting we could have had our own big fandom and fantasy on par with such films. It is a big chance missed with great VFX but not the rest of the elements. It might become a hit or mostly a one time watch .

But they have missed out on actually getting our very own metaverse in spite of money and technology and that is the saddest part.

It is such big potential that has been missed.

There's no relation between Lord Hanuman's astra and Vanar-Astra. All these link ups were just fan theories on reddit. Vaanar Astra is just an astra made that has the power of a humongous monkey. The astras are just inspired by Indian mythology but are fictional.

Ayan's research was watching DVDs of Harry Potter, Miss Pergerine, Star Wars etc. 😆

If it wasn't for HMR's posts, I wouldn't even know what the actual mythological context for some of these Astra's is supposed to be 😆

really?they talk about brahmastra and ancient time, rishis getting boon in the form of various astras and nandi etc but we are just supposed to believe that vanar doesn't represent lord hanuman and the vanars of those times who carried shastras and not astray?

It's nothing new. People have interpreted Indian mythology using fictional ideas. Biggest example is Amish Tripathi. The Immortals Of Meluha is about Shiva but it's fictionalized with Neelkanth, Sati having different character traits along with the world of Meluha. It's also a safer way since you're not diluting mythology by calling it that. Instead you're just making a fiction world out of your own ideas. Like the whole statue of Dev in Brahmastra looks like Lord Shiva but they still call him Dev and gave a fictionalized character to it. Same with the astras. Amitabh's narration at the beginning says the same. That the rishi munis were gifted different astras due to their tapasya and these astras were created using different eliments and animals of nature.

Thanks. My knowledge of astras is very basic though I do know Agneyastra was fire tip or fire tail arrow and could never stop brahmastra. There was this one time I went researching on Narayanastra. It's got to have magnetic properties since Krishna tells everyone to quickly chuck off their metallic stuff. What the heck can be magnetic and kill on large scale but not if you're on ground level? Still haven't found an answer.

I think there was an article by Bibek Debroy some time ago on the divyastras in MBh. Lemme see if I can find it.

This is just the first part. Nobody spends 10 years of their life doing nothing. Have patience people

I do think that Dev vs Amrita s conflict is borrowed directly from the Agni brahmins vs Varuna brahmin conflict.

These are some of the mythological reference I found in the first part-

1) Isha s character is inspired by Parvati. Parvati was also a princess who was impressed by Shiva s enigmatic persona and was completely devoted to her

Isha in a similar manner was impressed by Shiva s mysterious life and was devoted to him throughout

2) Parvati has always been a big inspiration for Shiva. Shakti ke bina shiv kuch bhi nahi. Just like Isha is Shiva s "button

3) Amrita s immolation is inspired by satis

4) Dev s character is inspired by Jalandra. Who was born when Shiva s third eye openes He also wanted to conquer the world. Here I think they have changed the story a bit. Son is the good guy and father is the bad guy

5) Dev Amrita. The fire-Water conflict is inspired by Agni vs Varuna conflict which Mahabharat mentions.

Oh, then I deffo have to watch. No one focuses on the Agni/Vasishta-Varuni conflict in MBh. Don't know how many even know about it.
