I had to look it up and apparently they're songs written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore. I had no idea -- learning sth new every day for sure! I didn't get the words but it had a unique energy, your voice is lovely and you're one fine singer too! ❤️

Okay, I shall post the list here. Thank you for liking my singing! 😊 Yes, it's a Rabindrasangeet. Rabindranath Thakur's songs are very significant part of our (Bengali people) culture. In West Bengal, the functions of schools and colleges are incomplete without his songs. Many of his songs are beautiful. As you don't understand the language I would suggest you to listen to the instrumental versions of Rabindrasangeet. A lot instrumental versions are available on YouTube.

I've been looking up and listening to them more after you started sharing your karaoke sessions, and thanks to Heisen too, for that along with those 90's music by Anu Malik. 😆 Turns out they're much more authentic, soothing and melodious than most of the songs of today. If I had to give you a list, it would be the ones you're already familiar with... and have most likely already tried singing too.

i think your experience points to why most people I know sing those older songs in live sessions. Irony is when I hear some the new songs by contestants and others here that I wonder why more people don't try them. They sound very nice too.

as for Anu Malik, I know the songs from baazigar, but am not very familiar with his other stuff. Might have to look them up thanks to Heisen.😆
