When has Bollywood glorified or promoted drugs? No film can be passed by Censor board that encourages drug abuse.

Drug abuse is everywhere be it urban areas or rural and so are crimes.

It is not something only in BW.

BJP leader's son Pramod Mahajan was caught with drugs and went to rehab. Remember Atal had then said ki jawan ladka hai, jawani mein aisi cheezein ho jati hain?

What about drugs seized at Adani port? Call them out. Do not be selective against drugs.

Look I do feel sad about Sushant's death but due to his suicide, entire Bollywood is getting blamed and it's under the radar of common people. The millions of fans who are Trending him now, blaming the Bollywood for not giving him a chance, where were they when his movies needed them the most? Weren't they trolling him too for removing the name Rajput and many more?

BW has already done plenty of campaigns against drugs. Aamir, Dimple, Shabana were part of earliest anti drugs campaign in 90s.

Films also had message against drugs abuse. Even masala films like Agneepath and Mohra had message against drugs.

How can you claim no one called out drug abuse in India?

Sanjay Dutt has himself spoken against drugs and shared how it ruined his life.

Why does govt use same BW guys for promoting govt programmes and campaigns if all BW is hub of crime? Who stopped govt from taking action against BW? Why govt did not arrest all mafia and druggies or rapists from BW yet? Why are RAW, IB, CID, NIA not investigating BW?

With so much information flowing in from all directions it has become very easy to be swayed. It is now very easy to push agendas than it was when the media was controlled.. hence it looks like there is a targeted attack on Bollywood. But agendas toh pehle bhi thi its just that it's instant n more visible now than before when it was subtle n discreet.

Depression has many causes. It is not caused only by drugs. Hate BW all you want but stop making ignorant and misleading remarks on depression. Even elderly, kids and teens have depression and they are not druggies. Educate yourself before adding to stigma.

What attack on humanity did BW do? Where did I call BW innocent? Why govt does not arrest these attackers of humanity from Bollywood? Why SC takes no suo moto notice of crimes against humanity by BW as you claim?

See....this is the reason why depression is still a stigma...because people are scared that they will be called either pagal or druggie....its like shaming the victim.....I am glad that celebrities like Deepu and Anushka have now started talking about depression so it is slowly becoming accepted that normal people can have depression too...and are more open to discussing it with someone they trust or doctors.

Regular people do not have the time to generate these trends in an almost daily basis - there are jobs to do and stomachs to fill and money to be made

This is a concerted effort and I too suspect the IT cell machinery to be behind this. The same folks who generate the SSR army trends. Because the crass langauge and the keywords used are very similar in both these trends - urduwood, bullywood, charsi, beef Eater, Pak sympathiser, etc etc

I see people make dumbest remarks on depression, mental health and anxiety. Mock Anushka and Deepika. Recently mocked Virat for confessing he felt lonely even in room full of people.

IT cell verified IDs also post shit against mental health issues and promote stigma. Or call depression some urban fad. Nothing could be worse to add to stigma in a country like India where it is already too bad. I suffered depression and I know how ashamed I felt when this word was used for me at 15 and people called me names...I was a kid and was depressed due to exam results and not getting college of choice. I hate it when people call it fad ir drama or claim it is drugs that cause it or maybe person fakes it for attention seeking, drama or to shirk work. I was gaslit by own parents and teachers so it hurts me when I see people talk shit. I had a friend who died by suicide and it hurt me how people slandered her in college despite her being a topper. These remarks on suicide and mental health feel like personal attack and remind me of hurt and loneliness I felt in teens. It makes you feel worse. People add to depression with their bullshit. Leave person alone if you cannot say a word to comfort them.
