none of the actors I mentioned are native to the languages they have dubbed in, they still did in tough roles and languages

kamal hassan did it long ago in multiple languages neither the roles he did or language he spoke was any easier

Accent bhi to authentic hona mangta na bahut bada scale hai movie ka aur to get accent right with correct pronunciation of letters bahut difficult hai

Dubbing hi karwa lete hain usse better for best experience

Jaise KGF2 bhi dub hi hui thi Hindi me aur Pushpa bhi

Deepika ka OSO me dubbing hua tha fir ab to wo hindi film heroine hai to wo dub nahi karwati

For that matter she isn’t even a Hindi speaker but dubs for herself in Hindi, doesn’t she? The director has to be strict about it I guess.

sahi hain, iska matlab hain actor uss accent main bol nahin pa raha hain tho uss actor mein kami hain

actor hamein woh experience nahin de paa rahe hain

acting ka matlab, voice, body language, accent, expression sab kuch

any actor who aces all this is the supreme actor without support from dubbing etc

kya hollywood mein dubbing karte hain, wahan kitne accents mein bolte hain (meryl streep in julia in french accent etc)

Big B ne don mein banarasi aur piku mein bengali accent mein bola

priyanka marathi accent in agneepath and baji rao, kangana haryanavi in tanu weds manu

bahut examples hain, some actors refuse roles where they dont know the language

shouldnt we give most credit to actors who can dub and place others below

even national awards are given only if you dub

pushpa and kgf atleast they dubbed in the original language

ideally anybody who does in all is great

here the movie is orginally tamil, which needs dialogues to be in spoke in tamil by the actor

yes, definetly when she dubs in hindi being a non native she deserves credit

my point is simple, any actor who makes the effort to dub gets full credit, dubbing by somebody else always stands out and is not natural, where the actor belongs to is immaterial to me as an auidence

of course onus is on director too

I have been watching the trailer on loop, and it just keeps growing on me. Esp. The way the characters are introduced and the MUSIC!! I am so excited to immerse myself in this world.

Her Hindi dubbing is also not most authentic but the Hindi audience make do with it while the Tamil audience is known to being not very tolerant of broken accents. May be the director tried and wasn’t satisfied with the output. Yes, definitely it shows badly on the actor because it does take away from the experience for the audience.
