Both of them don't want to reconcile and live with each other. When they were drunk how easily they accepted their own mistakes and apologized for the same. They dropped all their anger and consummated. But when they came back to their senses again back to square one. It is coming across as their ego is bigger than their love for each other. Jahan ego hota hain wahan pyar ki jeet kabhi nahi ho sakti. Malini is very consistent in her behavior. She is doing exactly what she should be doing. It is AryLie who are messing up things by letting her interfere in their lives. Neither of them shows her real place. That she is an outsider and shouldn't decide what should be done and what not. Malini enters and roams around in RM as if she owns the place and no one says a single word.
Another thing is that I feel the essence of both the characters got destroyed before the leap itself. The day the leap happened I felt that it is a 2.0 kind of journey for them. I think that the makers also initially thought that they would show a hate-love trope again post leap. It was quite evident from the pace of the episodes initially. They spent like 2 weeks to make the leads meet. But then I think something happened behind the scenes and generation leap news came. So here we are with this trash being served to us. Especially if we consider this as Aryan version 2.0 it will be easier for us to reconcile with his behavior. Imlie more or less has been the same with a few changes post the leap.
