The scene where ayesha was looking at a couple enjoying their time in the car and was sad

Is it because that she wished the same happen between her and basit despite there is no love between them yet and it was till this moment as contract marriage ( I mean it was before their argument where he raised his hand on her saying he will fulfill this relationship)

Or she was generally unhappy that she didn't have a normal relationship with a husband like other girls regardless of basit like she could neither celebrate her success nor her married life

Which feeling do you have more about this scene?

I love this!!! I feel in that moment, we see Ayesha settling into the cold relationship she shares with Basit. Since their marriage, the first couple of days, we see Ayesha being slowly disillusioned regarding what her marriage will be like. Obviously, she was not expecting some whirlwind romance, but based on the admiration she had developed for Basit as her boss, she had possibly expected a normal relationship of mutual cooperation, consideration, and respect.

The first night, the night of the nikkah, was her first disillusioning moment, when she suddenly felt that Basit had no interest in her. But it was still too early for her to form any definite opinion on this. When he went to office the next morning, she goes as well because she feels okay, so if he is going to pretend the marriage changes nothing in his life, I will do the same. There when he forces her to leave, she feels her loss of power for the first time.

On the night of the reception, the fact that Basit looks down on her family comes across to her, further making her lose faith in this relationship. The balm scene is a moment when you feel that perhaps the two will be able to talk things through and find some kind of middle ground but Basit loses his temper because of the envelope and that opportunity goes out the window.

Then the object of money enters the relationship, complicating things further. He scolds her for going through his childhood notes, making her feel more like an intruder into his life. At this point, Ayesha has become completely disillusioned with the marriage.

She had not entered the marriage thinking it would be a marriage of convenience, but at this point, she begins to think Basit married her simply to get his inheritance and he wants nothing more from her and wants to have nothing to do with her. She knows that he sees her as a burden that he could have done without. The entire relationship weighs down on Ayesha at this point. We see her dressing up for the dinner but her every movement shows her weariness. When she sees that happy couple in the car, she appreciates the warmth they exude. She is not the jealous type so she smiles to herself seeing their joy, but the contrast is there. Her lonely journey to a dinner supposedly in celebration of her marriage to a man who was not even bothering to answer when she called him. This whole segment is Ayesha settling into her disillusionment.

Why was basit affected ? I think he was curious to see Ayesha smiling ..coz she never smiles when she is with him So he might have come down to the kitchen to know what's up with her.

At this point , jealousy , mu will be so wrong . They don't know each other enuf to be doing all this . At least the writer cud have shown ayet getting close n falling in love 🥰

You are so right. I’ve been waiting for Ayesha and Basit’s story to get on track for a while now. I mean any misunderstanding in this moment when the relationship is so fragile can be disastrous.

They literally throw crumbs at us in the last part of every episode, giving us hope and then take it away. I want to see some genuine bonding and effort being put into place.

Even that scene when she wakes up on the sofa...the way she talks so naturally to the female help. This is what Sadia did for her...made her feel that this house is hers too. 😳👏

Anyways, my theory of why Basit came down is because he saw Ayesha smiling and having a good time. Normally, he always sees her in depressed mode or sulky mode. So, his curiosity brought him to the kitchen. Plus, he is still grieving. Maybe he wanted to surround himself with some joy after feeling down for too long.

@bold: I want to see more office scenes. I want to see Bano working with full sincerity and Basit getting impressed and Jawaad getting jealous😆 I want Basit and Bano to have some mutual appreciation for each other. Bano should realise her sister's husband is a good guy with a pure heart. And Basit should realise the struggles faced by Ayesha's family. Only then he will really respect Bano for the force she is!

I totally ship Fahad and Bano together. But I am in no hurry to see them happen so soon. Let's give it time and not get too excited and rush it.

This was such an adorable scene ☺️ An absolute treat in the otherwise angst filled episode. I’ve seen it countless times already 🤩 You’re right about Sadia really helping Ayesha settle in, she did truly look like she’s at home with the way she called in for Karim when Basit wasn’t opening the door or even while cooking. Also did you notice that Ayesha and Basit were giving such domestic vibes while standing in the kitchen together ❤️ I look forward to more such scenes!

I think it is Basit who should’ve made Ayesha more comfortable at his place, that way she would be smiling more at him too 🙃

And so true about Feroze as Basit...I mean the casting is so perfect. Feroze has always been a good actor, but this character is just so so beautiful, from that first moment, when he turns his back to his mom, you are just lost in him...the anger you see afterwards for his mum, you understand to be coming from that pain, the resentment and it is shown so subtly...just with a boy sitting with his back to his mother. You don't see Basit, this smart suave guy at that moment, you see Basit, that child hurting from being abandoned...

your words about the show are heartfelt dear, and Basit's anger, frustration, his irritated demeanor all are well explained in my opinion... he is a difficult boy because of his childhood and that is all one would expect from him. But i was curious to know why his mother left him, and now that she has passed away i don't know who is going to explain it to him or us viewers.

i am just looking forward to our discussions about the episodes now.

There is hope ..ayet will be happy 😊 therez this scene in the ost where Ayesha comes down the stairs in this cream suit n she looks happy .. so they will spend some romantic moments ..hopefully.

Their journey may be bumpy though..first problem is that 75 lakh second is basits insecurity and his opinion of women. When he loses it , he doesn't see who is in front of him and what's he saying..ayesha won't take a blame on her character of course ..I want her to be more dominating 😆 Basit will need it ...dominating as in, not guilt trip him 24x7, but ache se class lena baar baar ..

🤗

I have been thinking about how the show might deal with the whole issue of Basit's parents separating and mum abandoning and feel there might be two approaches.

One, what again came up in the Fuschia magazine review, Ayesha was with Sadia on the day before her death and she might have been told the whole thing by Sadia which makes her even more angry at Basit. It is what the reviewers were saying and it could be a way for Basit to find out ...through Ayesha.

Second option, is to leave it a gray area...the whole matter of the parents separating. I feel Salman, Basit's father, might also be partly to blame in their marriage falling apart, something Basit refused to even consider or acknowledge as a possibility. Through Salman's pleading he forced Sadia to leave Basit with him, but from what Basit tells others of his childhood (Fahad or Ayesha), he had a very lonely childhood. So Salman did not give him all that time or attention either. At the end of the day, both his parents were at fault in making Basit what he is today.

We see Salman and Sadia, when they are both old. Salman is facing death and Sadia too must be a much more mellowed version of what she used to be when young. At such an age, it is possible they have both changed how they were with each other in their youth. The mistakes they made when young has affected their child. The insecurities and scars Basit carries in him today have been given him by his parents and perhaps there is no way to ultimately deal with them, put them to rest apart from Basit forgiving his parents. Unconditional forgiveness from Basit alone can make him move on from his past. He must accept that yes, my parents separated, I did suffer for it as a child, but I forgive them for it. It was their life, they lived it on their terms.

What do you think? Might there be some other form of revelation waiting to happen?

❤️

Yes ! Yes! And YES!

I so want to see a more dominating side of Ayesha even while I must admit I am looking forward to a more possessive side of Basit coming out--- Those scenes from the clip where he takes her by the wrist and they are walking down the car park or when they are on the staircase... I think some very intense angsty scenes are awaiting us.

But yesss! Ayesha being in a position where she can do some haq jatana would be

I recently started following habs... and just loving it for it's story, fab acting by actors and of course chemistry between leads ❤️

I hv read everyone's views here and I must admit i am more addicted to show now... you all are fabulous in analyzing each nd every emotion of leads...

My reason to post here is my curiosity/restlessness.... actually I want to know basit mom's back story .... I mean what happened when Basit was kid ? Why did she leave ? I mean if she loved someone else or other reason? And how come she was back to basit ?

I am yet to watch starting episodes ... so I am very confused about her story ... and after her death I am just restless to know what actually happened and how they gonna give closer to basit's pain.

Plz update me if they showed anything regarding her back story or where she was ? Was she married to someone else?

let me talk about your points one by one

1 Ayesha telling Basit about the backstory could sound believable since as people say sometimes the ones approaching Death has a feeling their time is coming so they try to complete their wishes as soon as possible... it might be that Sadia too felt something and Basit was not going to listen to her so she ended up telling Ayesha about it and that is why Ayesha reacted like that (we all found Ayesha's behav at the funeral immature but if this was the thing then i can understand all her anger now)..

2. To leave it as a gray area- That sound reasonable at a literary point like writers often leave us at open ends believing we will have our own mind about the gray areas. Couples often have many differences in their relationships no one knows about, at times even their children, and later these things are never discussed, that is our real life.

But but... but I am afraid this would somehow give rise to STORIES onscreen where we would have a Man like Basit or the lead in upcoming show Wehashi, in the absense of a sensitive director this impossibly strange character would do anything as he/she pleases and then the reasons behind his behaviors would not be given and i dread that...already our screens have made MEN insensitive and intolerant ...if one such trend started, our screens would be intolerable.

3. i like this thought of yours the most, it is the reality... there is a song i would want you to listen more importantly the lyrics OLDER by Sasha Sloan, it fits the scene so well. as kids we make an image of our perfect parents and when we grow up and get in their shoes is the time we realize the mistakes a normal couple or leave the couple a normal grown-up can make...so yeah Basit making peace with the fact that okay, his parents broke up, they could not be together and though he would not get the love and care from both of them he could still forgive them for both of them wanted the best for him and who knows if they lived together as a broken family of 3 , Basit might have ended up sandwiched b/t who was wrong and who was right.

Aaah, i love these discussions.♥

Hi, it feels so good to have people here who love this show, even i am new but i am enjoying it here.

about his mother's backstory..no dear it is still not shown what went wrong and after her death we are all so confused about it but i believe the director is sensitive enough to make us feel all that the characters are going through in the most organic way so i guess now the story will shift towards Basit and Ayesha ...

though i am dreading the latest promo where Basit seems to eavesdrop unconsciously and might misunderstand his wife i hope that's not the case.
