So smooth he did this though...
Just scrolling through the pages to see where I left off and I found this...
❤️
Rishu! I never thought of this! But of course he did! And so smooth the whole thing was too! Basit seriously has such charm and he isn't even aware of it.

I love this song.. And then these 2 scenes.. 💕
The way she also played with the teddy bear.. So cute..
I was watching this yesterday again and caught up with the last episode too..
Also.. Just now I read that quote on that Twitter quote on grief.. And your comments on that..
Can we go back to the scene of Ayesha being in his study room? His private space.. His safe haven.. It is perhaps the smallest room in the whole big villa, but we can find the most valuable belongings there.. Emotional value..
Saying that he had said farewell and buried his mom doesn't mean he has done his share of grieving and mourning.. Suppose this is a process which is always there just like the quote says too..
No.. This boy is in pain for years with unresolved issues of abandonment resulting in commitment issues.
He is still in the first phases of mourning I think.. He is holding on to anger.. And there in the privacy of his study he can let go.. He can cry and hold on to his memories, to all what was and is dear to him.. His drawings, letters, childhood books and even a trophy..
He did admit to Ayesha and Farhad that he is scared shitless and it will take him time. She says she knows now he is capable of love.. In fact he still loves his mom.. They just need to speak to each other and clear everything out..
I have seen the promo.. His mom will read his letters and he will walk in on her..
it was something cappacuino5 shared from twitter the juxtaposition of these two moments, both from the same episode...one of the loveliest things is that both these people like each other but only show it when the other person isn't there or not aware.
I have forgotten what I wrote on grief, but I love how you explain it. The part about him holding what is dear to him in that study, the place where he can freely bring his grief out. The childhood memories of his time with his mum must be there in him which made the pain of losing her just that much more unbearable. But here the difference between losing someone through death and losing someone through being abandoned lies. With death you hold those memories closer, cherish them. With abandonment, the hurt of the abandonment might just poison all the cherished memories. So even the love he received from his mother before she had left became a bitter memory for him.
I am really looking forward to hearing Basit talk about his bitterness with Ayesha. That will be a scene to watch out for! Them truly speaking to each other. In fact that pre-marriage restaurant scene also I really like. They were actually speaking to each other, with Basit doing more of the speaking and Ayesha the listening..but anyway. Unfortunately that had been interrupted. This time, I am very excited!
And here is the same gif with just a tiny tweak...

In fact I was thinking to myself today that Habs has spoilt all telly drama romance shows for me simply because of the way they show two people's relationship developing. Watching Habs truly gives you the same pleasure that a Jane Austen novel does. Where simply two people standing together in the same room might mean so much and make your heart skip a beat.
I was watching that scene from ep 15 when Basit and Ayesha return from Ayesha's mom's place and Sadia is sitting in that lounge sort of room. Basit would have walked up the stairs but Ayesha comes in to talk to Sadia. You see Basit pause for just that tiniest moment before following her into the lounge.
Another fan edit...Agar Tum Saath Ho...
Had shared a part of this I had seen on twitter... but anyway this is the proper video... a vm by MaYa vids. Amazing edit on Basit's trauma.
