Background-
Sai and Virat had a huge argument regarding making Pakhi their child's surrogate mother. All in Chavan Nivas wanted it but Sai was firmly against it. She said she will not go through the process if Pakhi has to bear her child. She also suspected that Pakhi has to do something with her report which says that she can't conceive again. She actually blamed Pakhi for this and accused that Pakhi wants to get Virat by hook or crook.
Obviously, Pakhi cried and denies all these and everyone was sympathetic towards her and Sai was the villain in everyone's eyes. There was only one exception and that was Rajiv who believed Sai. So one day after a huge faceoff Sai left Chavan Nivas after signing the divorce paper.
After 1 month of Sai leaving Rajiv proved that Sai was innocent and right at her accusations. Pakhi really asked her doctor friend to do Sai's wrong treatment and make a fake report that she can never conceive. She also planned to make everyone against Sai and throw Sai out of the house and take the position of Virat's wife. Pakhi was thrown away from home and Virat made sure to put her behind the bars to conspire against Sai.
Virat regretted his actions and tried to find his Sai but she just vanished. He went to Garchiroli also but she wasn’t there. He started to live in Sai's memories only and turned their room as her memorial. Everybody of Chavan Nivas regrated and prayed for Sai's return.
What happened when after 3 years Sai comes back to his doorstep and why?.
After 3 years-
Lots of things changed in these 3 years.
Bhabani was so ashamed of her decisions that she left the post of Mukhiya to Ashwini.
Mohit and Karishma became parents of a baby girl named Mira.
Virat became so workaholic that he got one after one promotion and is now in the high post of special crime branch. He used all his connection and power to search for Sai but all in vain.
Virat was busy with calls and when he finished the call he saw a few curious eyes with lots of questions in them who were eager to know the results of his phone call with hope. This is not new whenever he got a call from his detective friend nearly two and a half years ago to search Sai it happens.
He many times got her news being some places but when he reached there she has been gone.
Suddenly the doorbell rang and Aswini went to open the door. He heard his mother’s grasp in surprise and came to see the matter. There he saw the woman he loves standing in his doorway.
His whole world stopped time froze when he saw his Sai standing at his doorstep. Virat couldn’t look anywhere else but his love. She is looking beautiful but there was stress and tension written everywhere on her face. She also lost some weight. He was thanking Bappa for finally bringing his love to him.
But suddenly his trance broke when he heard a soft voice calling her “Aai” Sai looked down. Virat’s eyes also traveled the same direction and he saw an adorable cute baby girl hugging Sai’s knee. He was shocked to see the baby calling his Sai as Aai. He was so shocked but before he thought anything he got another shock when the baby’s eyes laid on him. She gave him a dazzling smile and happily said “Baba. My Baba. Not in photo only.”
Then she ran towards him and hugged his leg. Virat couldn’t help but picked the girl in his arm. He could see the girl’s resemblance with him and Sai. She has the same eyes and facial features as him. Infect she looks like him with Sai’s nature.
Virat looked towards Sai questioningly and could read guilt in her eyes when she nodded and hung her face. The baby in Virat’s arms was getting impatient and tried to get her father’s attention.
She pulled his chin and called “Baba you angry with Vini?” Virat hugged her to his chest dropped a kiss on her head and said “no baby. I can never be.” She asked “you and Aai both were busy Vini missed you. You never came to meet me. I hug your photo and sleep.”
Virat’s heart pained hearing his baby girl. He shoots an angry glare at Sai and said: “I want a good explanation, Mrs. Chavan.” With this one sentence, he made her realize that he was angry with her for hiding about Vini, he wants a proper explanation later he will not take any nonsense and also said he loves her till now and they were never divorced.
Virat took his daughter with him while Ashwini and Bhabani came to Sai “why Sai why you kept running all these years and why you kept us away from her? You shouldn’t have done that. Do you know how Virat searched you like mad?”
she hung her head as she felt guilty. Ninad, Mohit and Karishma all were also looking at her with accusing eyes. She slowly took her steps towards her old room where her husband took their daughter.
When she entered she saw Virat and Vini engrossed in a conversation. Vini was surprised to see the walls of the whole room covered with Sai’s pictures and Sai and Virat’s pictures. She was first happy seeing her Baba and Aai together but soon when she doesn’t find any pictures of her she became sad and in a sad tone said: "Baba loves Aai only not Vini.”
Virat felt a stab in his heart and pulled her in his chest and said “no baby Baba loves you a lot.” She then pouted like her mother and said “then why no pics of me here?”
Virat was fumbling with words how can he tell his little girl that he didn’t know about her existence till sometime back? But she herself solve his problem as she continued her talking “you know me and Aai have lots of photos of you. We used to see talk and sleep with those.” Virat’s heart tugged again. “Aai used to cry and hug your photo also. Vini also hugs your photo and sleeps.”
There were tears threatening to fall from his eyes. But there was confusion if Sai used to cry and talk with his photo then why did she stay away from him? But he didn’t get much time to ponder that as his baby again back to the previous topic of why there was no picture of her in his room.
This time Sai saved him as she called “Vinita Virat Chavan stop your drama and stop interrogating your Baba. It’s actually Aai’s fault baby. Mamma never sent any photos of you to Baba so Baba doesn’t have your pictures. Sorry beta”
Vini looked towards Virat gave him a kiss On his cheek and mumbled “Sorry Baba. But Mamma did bad. I am angry and will not take medicine today.” Sai’s face became hard and she took out some strips from her bag and in a strean voice said “I told you there will be no discussion about medicines you have to take them.” Virat was shocked to see the many medicines which Sai forced Vini to take.
After Vini slept he went to the terrace bench they used to seat when they were not in a good emotional state. Sai looked towards him from the window and understood its time she faces him. She made two cups of tea like the previous time and went to the seat beside him. She gave him his cup which he took without looking at her or without saying anything and she slowly started
“When I left I was angry. I was angry with you. I didn’t know what to do then I went to Gadchiroli and from there Delhi. There I came to know about my pregnancy. I was so negligent about my health that I came to know about it when I was almost 4 months pregnant and doctors told me that due to this my pregnancy was risky. There were chances of miscarriage at any moment or I might give birth to a stillborn.
I was shocked and confused. I thought about our happy days in our married life. I thought about informing you but then thought against it. I thought I will tell you if I would be able to give birth to a child. Because I knew it would have been devastated for you to lose your child.
When after lots of complications I gave birth I thought about you. I was so happy that there was a part of you in my hand. I was impatient to tell you. I called your police station and from there I came to know you were out of the country for a fortnight. I also came to know that you stay away from Nagpur those days a lot. I could have called home but I wanted to tell you first.
So thought to wait but at this time I came to know that our daughter was suffering from a deadly disease. Her heart and bone marrow were not properly developed. She can’t live long. My happiness dies so my willingness to tell you. I wanted to protect you, Virat. I love you a lot. I couldn’t be able to see you break after losing another close one. Your own child. I knew you suffered a lot. I decided I will come back to you only when she will be no more with me.
I named her after your name Virat’s Vinita. She was more mature than her age and always ask about you. I showed her your picture and told her about you. I told her that you are busy so couldn’t come there. When last time one month ago I visited her doctor she told me she will survive max to max 3-4 months.
Last week when I came back from my job I heard some sobbing noise and went to her room. I saw her sobbing and talking to her nanny Kamla. She was expressing her wish to meet you. You know she knows that she is dying. She was telling Kamla that she knows her coming birthday is her last birthday and she wants to be with her Baba for once. It's her last wish. I couldn’t take it anymore and left from there.
That night when I went to her room I saw her sleeping as usual hugging her teddy. I pulled her teddy out of her hand to pull her towards me and then I saw behind the teddy there was a picture of you. Kamla told me she does it from long back but never told me. I understood to try to protect you from pain I hurt my baby a lot. I couldn’t ignore her dying wish and come here. I messed up everything. I am a bad wife a bad mother, a bad woman.”
By the time she finished she was in tears and broke down completely. Virat who was also in tears pulled her in his embrace and hugged her tightly. He was hurt but he understood her also.
He said “you should have told me Sai. Yes you were right I would have felt a lot of pain after knowing about your risky pregnancy but we could have stayed together. We could have shared our pain. You should have told me when you gave birth to her. I would have moved hell and heaven to save her.”
She hugged him tightly and said “I tried every medication. I myself am a doctor who works hard to save the lives of others but couldn't save her own child. If there were a single hope I would have done that but there is no hope. Believe me, I only tried to protect you.” He knew she was telling the truth only.
The next day both of them told everyone the truth and all were sad. Virat sends her reports to all famous hospitals throughout the world. Sai knew there was no hope but she let him do it for his satisfaction that he tried everything to save his princess. But as expected from everywhere only negative replies came. When Virat came to terms with a heavy heart that there was no way he thought to give his little daughter all love and happiness they can give within the short span of time she will live. They did. They celebrated her birthday as per her wishes.
After 4 months finally, the day came when they lost their daughter. When Virat came back after doing the last rituals of the apple of his eyes his daughter there was no emotion shown in his eyes.
He was just a person without emotion. A ruthless emotionless workaholic police officer. It took Sai nearly 6 months to make Virat cry his heart out one night and let Vinita’s death sink in him. Slowly things started to fall in place and Virat and Sai decided to move on in their life. This time they wanted time for themselves so they decided not to try for any baby for some time.
After good two years, one-day elders asked them to think about family planning and they also thought its time for them to welcome a baby. After only 2 months of that day Sai found out that she was pregnant and when she disclosed it to Virat he was on cloud nine. This time Virat took very good care of his Wife annoying hell out of her as he never allowed to do her anything by herself. He also asked her to apply for maternity leave soon.
After months of waiting the day finally came when Sai gave birth to twin boys. They named them as Swam and Shivam. Life with Swam and Shivam was bliss for them. But Mohit and Karishma’s daughter Mira always reminded them of their angel their daughter.
So when their naughty twins were 3 years old Virat asked Sai for a daughter again and she was happy to give in to his demands.
They prayed a lot for a daughter and soon God blessed them with one. All wanted to name her Vinita but Virat disapproved. He never wanted his firstborn to be replaced by any of her siblings nor neither he wants anything wrong to happen with his new daughter. He named her as Sanvi.
After few years at the day of Vini’s birthday, Virat established a trust named Vini to help needy children and their families who were suffering from rare diseases.
