So the episode (at least the first half) was completely unexpected. I was initially a little annoyed at the way Basit was treating Ayesha in the car and even when his mother pointed out that the house seems dull without her presence. But then I had to rewatch these scenes to realise that Basit’s deep seated issues would never allow him to be emotionally vulnerable at this stage in their relationship. I think he was frustrated that despite making so much effort, he couldn’t make Ayesha happy and even if internally he was feeling insecure he would point it as a flaw in the women kind rather than acknowledge his mistake. His views have been shaped through the experiences of his father and unless Basit progresses in his relationship with Ayesha, he will continue to view all situations through that lens.

It was the bedroom scene that made me realise that he’s not indifferent or unconcerned about Ayesha. He went to the other room and asked her the meaning of her sleeping in a separate one, it was only when he realised that he would look needy if he asked her to come back to his bedroom did he start taunting her to get a reaction.

Ayesha feeling hurt is justified, Basit never did apologise properly. There was no apparent remorse in his demeanour.

I just loved Sadia and Ayesha’s conversations. Their relationship is so mature. What Sadia said was not wrong. Basit has started liking Ayesha (in his own way), he misses her and wants her around but would not acknowledge it.

I would like to commend Bano for the way she handled her first day. She was so poised and no-nonsense. Loved her little chat with Basit, I think this could prove to be a beautiful relationship, where Basit could get to know more about Ayesha. I loved how Basit acknowledged that Bano is his family. He has accepted Ayesha as his wife but is unable to express and also unable to understand where is he going wrong.

As for the surprise party, Basit’s reluctance seemed like a formality. He looked genuinely happy when Fahad mentioned that it was all Ayesha’s plan. I absolutely loved how he asked her to cut the cake with him 🥰 I think this is the first time that Ayesha truly showed her dimpled smile to him. They also both looked gorgeous in that frame ❤️ The candle scene was adorable ☺️.

But then things took a turn for the worse once Basit saw Sadia. I think he would have happily cut the cake along with Ayesha (even feeding her the first bite 😌) had Sadia not entered the party. Basit’s pain and anger were palpable but so was Sadia’s. I think they both did a phenomenal job.

I’m curious as to what will happen next week. This episode had very little Basit and Ayesha, I would like to see more of them in the next episode. But I would also like for the mother-son relationship to progress. Waiting eagerly for the next episode!

Yes, this is definitely a possibility or perhaps both were at fault at different points but couldn’t reconcile their differences. Maybe his father neglected his mother while trying to build his business to such an extent that she felt invisible (going a little dramatic here).

Pl don't beat me up for this ..but I have this nasty feeling that there will be no progress in basit and ayesha , as in romantically which we were expecting..not even an epi or two like zgh . Which is very sad if it happens bec the show only seems to focus on the inner core of basit.

Basit is totally unforgiving for the women who leave him . And we know ayesha will leave him or he ends it . He doesn't know how to let go, he holds onto his pain and nurtures it , it makes him poisonous .

The only "happy" scene in the ost was the cake cutting one and how my dreams came crashing down 😆 pehle toh sadia doesn't remember his bday, she'd put up a reminder in her diary . Aisi kaunsi ma hoti hai? Basit was happy only for a split moment ..his dialogues and sadias pain, extremely well done scene by fk and ma'm. She deserves an applause for the silent happy bday song . Notice how he guessed that its sadia who planned a surprise .

I hate the screen space given to Zoya..her slow mo flying hair , I care a damn abt it..instead of ayeshas trauma they focused on zoyas stupid love story..its just that I like ayeshas family,except Zoya so I don't mind the space given to them . I enjoy watching ayeshas mom now . Bano is my fav and phuppo always talk sense . Loved the match making scene where she tells the lady that I want someone to tc of this useless girl, she is not competent to tc of anyone . Others also, qudsia scolding Zoya..

The only good scene in the entire epi was bano in the office. I love this girl .

Instead of good meaningful scenes between the leads we r being served with filler epis and slow mo scenes of Zoya having flashbacks of shopping with Aamir. 🤔

Such an imp sequence of saidas heart attack and they filled it with zoyas rishta ? How disjointed was the editing. One scene we're being told she might suffer brain hemorrhage other scene she is fine ? Nothing like Ayesha or basit looking for her , calling fahad ,taking her to hospital etc etc no scene of doctor telling them she is out of danger..

Ayesha and sadia. They r so good together but does ayesha get any idea abt basit from all this ? She again takes a promise from ayesha to not leave basit . Happy ending is expected but I want to see happy epis too in between otherwise what's the point ?

Also ushna needs to keep that one expression under control where she pouts, almost pouts ..can't guess what she's feeling . In rest of the scenes she is perfect .

Precap is damn If sadia dies which she probably would , Basit will.spiral into more depression perhaps guilt also . He blames like everything literally on her..main aisa hoon main aisa hoon kyunki main apni ma jaisa hoon😲

They r overdoing it now . It seems to be self inflicted trauma and he will lose sympathy of the audience . He can't just blame everything on that one incident ignoring all the good things in his life. He has a good set of friends plus ayesha plus he is filthy rich plus this whole empire which his dad left for him .

At one point ayeshas expressions were like she will give an earful to basit but aisa hua nai😆

If the 2 concerned persons die , who will tell him the truth ? May be somebody's from sadias new family? 😕

Did Basits mom remarry? I can’t remember that detail. Where is her 2nd family?

I absolutely agree with you. Basit is a deeply flawed character who in his head is a small child who was abandoned by his mother. While there are certain scenes that endear him to the audience, this episode was in a way an eye opener as to his issues. He has so much pain, anger and frustration inside him that unless he lets it all out, he will keep having these outbursts.

As a grown up man who is now married, he owes it to himself, his new wife and their marriage to confront his issues and deal with them in a healthy manner. He doesn’t understand that a wife does not only needs financial security but she also has emotional needs that he is unable to meet.

While Sadia hopes that Ayesha can heal Basit in the future, what she doesn’t realise is that the only thing Ayesha can do is to nudge Basit in that direction but ultimately it is Basit’s call to live in anger, pain and fear or to overcomes these issues. Nobody can fix another person unless they want to be healed. What Ayesha can do is stand by his side, care for him and support him but Basit needs to take the right steps.

On that note, we know that Basit takes medication for anxiety but is he seeing a therapist? I think it is absolutely important for his to do so. He needs to learn and unlearn a lot of things, the most important being on how to be a good husband 😅.

Also another question- why does Basit think that his mother has planned the surprise party when Fahad clearly told him that it was all Ayesha’s work?
