A few other thoughts...I don't think Sadia will die but rather that she will return to Canada. I think she had already taken that decision before she fell ill.
In today's episode I really admired Ayesha...she has really stepped up to the responsibility of Basit's wife. The way she behaves with Sadia, the way she went along with Sadia's wishes to plan the birthday surprise despite her reservations of how Basit might react...the way she handled herself at the hospital during the medical emergency and later the way she tried to calm down Sadia by lying to her about Basit....all of it showed so much maturity on her part. It possibly comes from having handled family crises growing up. It is of course Ayesha and Bano who have always handled matters in their family.
Also loved Bano's confidence in the office environment. Showed that she knew how to behave and was not intimidated. Loved how she shut down gossipmonger Jaawed. And I am really enjoying these scenes of that 'senior and experienced' resident sleuth...he and his snooping ways will probably last till the end of this show!
Her scene with Basit when she thanked him and assured him that she knew how to behave was lovely. I am hoping that in Bano, Basit will appreciate the better part of Ayesha's family.
Now for Basit. Actually I did not feel too mad at him. His behaviour I felt was quite appropriate considering the way he has been raised. He is not one to bend over backwards to please his wife...at least not yet. So the fact that he got annoyed when Ayesha refused to turn all sweet just because he had gone to visit her family or that he had sort of apologised, it made sense. It was fun to watch...his anger that his wife is not easily manaofied...and he obviously was missing her presence in the room and so came all the way to tell her that he wasn't there to ask her to come back to their room.🤣
When Sadia said that line....that men want happiness in their wives. They don't keep a tally of the wife's sadness....it hit me straight in the heart. Dialogue writer of this show is truly khatarnaak. Made me cry.
Zoya toh was in Juliet mode today. Teenage romance bubbling up. The way she changed her voice when sending the voice message to Amir in the middle of arguing with Bobby was too funny.
Her mother really has the brightest ideas...I am now convinced this forced marriage will be the reason Zoya will run away.
I liked Bobby Phupo's comments on what went down when Amir's parents had come. It is very true that this time Qudsia did nothing wrong. Amir's mother was the one trying to put down Zoya's family and that shameless demand for dowry deserved exactly what Basit had told them. But anyway Zoya is too much of an idiot to understand. Today I also got a sense that Zoya is a kid still at the end of the day. She couldn't understand that these people had come to see her until she went into the room. 🤔
Anyway..Basit in his room looking over to Ayesha's side of the bed was too cute. But to me he is still unsweetened sea salt flavoured chocolate.
