The very talented and versatile actress Shilpa Anand is not an unknown name in the television industry anymore. She is currently seen essaying the role of Dr. Ridhima Gupta in the hugely hit daily 'Dill Mill Gayye', which is also a sequel to the earlier launched, hit daily 'Sanjeevani-A Medical Boon'. Her first brush with the glamour world happened with modeling and advertisements and followed by South Indian movies.
Her main claim to fame happened with 'Dill Mill Gayye', which is recently broadcasted, on the popular Star Plus channel. In this soap she plays the character of a doctor who is also the daughter of the dean of the hospital Sashank Gupta (played by Mohnish Behl). Shilpa Anand claims that she is extremely glad to have bagged this role. Very few know that this is her first television experience and it has proved to be very good as of now. She also asserts the fact that though working in television is quite strainous and monotonous but at the end of the day it is the contentment, which keeps her going. About bagging the role in this venture she remarked in the recent interview that the makers of this soap might have spotted her in some commercials or movies and they offered her the lead role, which she gladly accepted and was on board after the initial screenings and auditions.
Shilpa Anand is also very happy about the fact that the lead role in the soap gives her a lot of opportunity to give the best of her acting flair. She has indeed got a lot of exposure in the serial and she is trying to live upto the expectations. She can also relate very well to the character as she is also very straightforward in her real life and does not like to take any nonsense from anyone around her. About having a sibling in real life and reel-life is a bit different according to her, as she does not have any such trivial fights with her own sister as she potrays on-screen.
She is also very much confident about the success of the soap as it has an interesting story line to bank upon. She also shares a very cordial bond with all of her co-stars. She has also been successful in making a mark in the Bollywood Film Industry and also starred in a movie named 'Iqraar-By Chance' but the film failed to create a huge impact on the silver screen audiences. An actress with such great potential is sure to create waves on the screen in the near future.
