I don't understand one thing... every second Indian TV series start with a promising setup depicting it will show motivating journey of female/male lead but as the time passes by, once the story goes haywire in the long run, they have to kill off the main characters and then bring leap as retaining same person as lead...so my question is then what was the purpose of starting the show when the lead story is going to end like a click....

TRP destroys intention and creativity. Moreover, once the audience gets attached to a couple, they refuse to see them separated. So I feel like CVs don't know how to get through this. They are stuck between what they want to show, and expectations of audience/channel.

Actually, trp is the root cause of all problems. They always have to show things keeping TRP audience in mind. We complain why itv shows are regressive. The truth is TRP audience don't like to watch progressive shows. That is why channels like Sony don't have good TRP in shows. Most of the shows with good content get shut down within short time due to low TRP. Why? Because they don't show OTT drama.

I honestly prefer what used to be, those finite good story with pre written script in hand like in 90s.

Infinite stories do start well then decline in all aspects.

Two of my favourite all time shows are from Sony. I always discover shows late; that is when they are over; then I just binge-watch. Then I am spared from all the offline drama🤣Unfortunately, I could not be spared this time. Aryan Singh Rathore compelled me to watch this show.

I personally love strong characters. It's very rare that we have a strong ML on ITV, who is not torturing the FL or cheating on her or putting her through toxic situations which the latter has to bear and get through.

How will society get better when ITV keeps on showing regressive content? If I take my parents' example, they simply watch what is shown. They won't analyse nor judge what is being shown. It is part of their routine. So I don't really think that we can assign all blame to TRP audience. Neither the channels nor PHs want to take any accountability on what is being shown. It's a vicious cycle of negativity.

I think change must come from the new generations. Simply change the channel whenever a toxic show is on. Let us promote good content. Just to clarify, obstacles and evil people are required for some storylines. They will always form part of life, and we cannot ignore same. But we cannot keep on watching shows where evil keeps winning.

So children of TRP audience, start showing your parents how to change channels🤣

By the way, my family and I do not contribute to TRP😊

I agree -- I wish the dramas would cap at 150 episodes or 300 episodes max. this way, we have a complete story and then it ends. so there is no need to create random conflicts to separate the characters or weird leaps or baccha tracks. as an audience, we also get to experience different different stories with a variety of actors -- so less reason to feel bored. the old serials with its limited episodes were far more creative and better written.

I agree,

Then we could see a sensible character graph, no need to buthcher, progressive or just musical but a steady story told without OTT drama.

I used to love those Balachandar"s tamil short stories. His thoughts were progressive.

The thing is guyzz Ekta actually knows how to drag the story ... Keep the audience hooked ... imagine if arylie were her main leads I m sure she wud have never tried ruining them ...I m sure she wud have shifted them to OTT platform or created a spin off show .. bcoz they wud have earned her a lot as she utilized the leads from kumkum bhagya

But the thing is Gul doesn't know that or maybe does not believe in that ...she just creates a character n forgets what to with it in the long run 🤣...so she either butchers it or kill it by making them fall off the cliff n all
