How did Akshay got Canadian citizenship?

I am genuinely curious. He says he got the honoury citizenship. Is there any truth to it? Or he bought the citizenship as i have read some countries give citizenships based on investments. 🤔

You can pretty much buy citizenship anywhere if you can show a certain amount of assets.

40*8=320 so is working 320 days enough for Canadian citizenship? 🙈

You could literally buy Canadian citizenship for few crores. Few of my dad's friends have done that. They invested and got the citizenship but they stay in india. They just got it for "security". Since Canadian passport gives better access or whatever. Many rich people in India get citizenship by investing in other countries and stay back, they just want the passport.

I think USA was 5 crores when someone I know got it, but now it goes up to 8-9 crores.

Canadian government and powers that be got impressed by his deshbhakti... They thought that he would be a good asset to their country if they poach him and make him Canadian
