To compensate, they made the other girl a childish braindead overacting moron.

There’s lots of effed up things in this movie

Rani and letter charade nonsense without ever coming clean until she’s caught

Her forcing another person to marry her friend when he’s not interested …like woman give his consent importance too…if u don’t wanna marry him that’s ur choice don’t tell him to do things against his

Also Raj agreeing to marry Tina fully intending to leave her at the Mandap if pooja didnt crack under his pressure to find a man for herself …I get that he was trying to put her through what she’s putting him through …but why involve Tina in this mess?

So much emotional manipulation here dono raj and pooja narak mein jaaenge

I rewatched mujhse dosti karoge on its anniversary again and I wonder how the film was greenlit by YRF? The theme is extremely problematic and regressive. Most shockingly, its unabashedly racist. Why was Rani not considered attractive? Wasnt she the same girl who played Tina in KKHH? Then in this film, why was she presented as the cardigan wearing bland looking girl who is not as fair as Kareena Kapoor? I wonder why Rani Mukerji said yes to the film? Which actress wants to play a character who is blantantly called unattractive that too in comparison to a contemporary? Isn't it career suicide?

This was a YRF film which at that time was a big deal...it was her first YRF production and she mentioned in the past how Aditya Chopra told her on the sets of this film that people have advised him not to cast Rani cause she didn't have what it takes to be a YRF heroine...cause that time she was doing these silly Govinda and Bobby Deol films...

Doubt Rani felt anything wrong with the role, she was aching to be accepted by the Chopra clan...and that she did successfully...eventually! 😉

I think with AC's acceptance of her, she must have felt like a kid in a candy store...thats why she kept on doing these crappy YRF films!

In London Raj misses Indian food bcz their maids doesn't know how to cock Indian food. Lol why couldn't they hired Indian cooks, London mai toh indians bhare pade hai.

And more funny her mom teaches to their white maids to cook desi food but can't cook one time for his beta😆

I was a fan of neither at the time but looking back at it now, the whole thing was totally messed up!

What a massive blow to Rani's character that Hrithik without batting an eye goes straight for Kareena before they even introduce themselves or so much as open their mouths to say a few words for some clue ... ANY clue he could trace back to all those letters/emails Rani's character used to send him under Kareena's name.

Firstly, to keep that kind of charade going for so many years is already pretty effed up and questionable on Rani's part. Did she think he was gonna pick her "character," completely ignoring the fact that she basically catfished him the whole time? 🤓

Secondly, why would she even be in love with a guy who so openly dissed her and went for the supposedly "pretty" one?!!! I don't think it's racism or colorism or any other ism. It's just idiotism. 😆 on the team's part.

He last saw them at age 10 not 3. He knew what they looked like. Why did she think he wouldn't recognize them as adults or recognize the girl he thought he'd been writing to for 15 years. She was an insecure idiot.

Tina was still very pure hearted....Pooja and Raj however..blaahhhh! I think I’ve Always rooted for the parallel lead…even in Dil toh Pagal Hai I loved Karishma’s character and eventually wanted Akki and Karishma to get married lol..
