Its very much like prema says vannu..the bond begins with the man you marry..if he stand-up for you and your respect, the family follows and will respect you the same..and still if the family doesn't, atleast you have the spouse in your support to face them and stand up for yourself..

Shiva always prioritised and supported his family no matter if they were right or wrong...Kept silent to ravis struggles..i think the first time he stood up for her as a husband and respecting her was recently when ravis truth came out..but still thats so shortlived if he doesn't respect her enough to trust her love for him?..shiva doesn't respect ravi..he tried to be a good husband by standing up for her once..but one occasion of insecurity and he took out his vulnerable side.. dhara is missing with a child..does it occur to him that his bhabhi is actually selfish and nearly cheating on his brother by running away like that ..no..he is instead concerned for her..

Exactly this. So I understand what they are showing is still very much present in our society but it doesn't mean it's justified. As an audience we shouldn't lower our standard by justifying any BS by saying it's normal. It's not normal. Wrong ko wrong bolna is very important. Chahe wo ghar ho ya fiction.

Culture should never be an excuse for inequality and wrong doings and I can't believe girls of this generation are justifying this sh*t
