SRK got hits mainly when YASH CHOPRA was ALIVE under his magical direction

If KKHH , K3G and other KJo's directorials were poorly directed films, they would have been BOMBED as well irrespective of a hamming srk or not

So basically these production houses made SRK's career, not the other way round..it would just be foolish to think like that giving a rising star (an anti hero/villan) so much of a credit , when the credit is of those production houses and the DIRECTORS involved in those ventures.

REAL SUPERSTARDOM TEST is when we have mediocre/poorly directed films like READY or BODY GUARD became blockbuster and even a bad film like JAI HO succeeded at box-office ONLY DUE TO the main male lead's super stardom.

I would say both have benefited from this collaboration. Both these production houses made successful films & Srk was able to start his own production house. Win win for both.

Darr was offered to Aamir Khan that Rahul's character, after reading the script he wanted a meeting with Sunny Deol, as he wanted to know if Sunny is ok with that character getting much more limelight.

Yash Chopra didn't wanted that so he hired SRK coz he was newcomer & didn't ask any questions. He was doing same roles in Baazigar & Anjaam which he told Yash Chopra.

DDLJ was offered to Saif Ali Khan, he rejected it. None of these films have 1st preference as SRK, it was success of these 2 films which made him some kind of name 😆

Wo actor bahar se aakar apna place banaya people liked srk as Raj and Rahul, nahi to Sunny Deol aur Saif Ali Khan ko to bahut pictures mili hai apne maa baap ke kaaran, unko kon roka to be as successful as srk
