Hi All 😊

Here is my review after watching the first two episodes. The plot of the show is quite interesting and promising.

The Female lead introduction scene wasn't that great but clearly they wanted to show us how kindhearted, naive, shy and clumsy she is. I think her clumsiness is due to her low self-esteem which is caused by her own family's taunts. It is sad seeing her family treating her this way 😭. But somehow her intro isn't comprehensive since we don't know her age and whether she is a student or she has a job. I hope we get to see her character's growth as the story progresses.

The Male Lead introduction scene wasn't that perfect either since we got to know by his sister-in-law that he arrived home quickly only to be there for his little half-sisteršŸ˜’. It would have been better watching his interaction with his sister and gradually we get to know that he cares a lot about her though she is his half-sister.

His sister-in-law's dialogues were a little bit annoyingšŸ˜•. I hope she gets some good lines in the upcoming episodes.

Amba's character seems one of the main characters in the beginning of the show. I think she was Dev's ex-girlfriend. And maybe she is the reason behind him being single till now šŸ¤”. That scene where she asks Dev to kneel down was only to satisfy her ego.

I liked the fact that Dev didn't mind Vedhi calling him "uncle" šŸ˜†, let's see how will their love story unfolds!

Many people would find that scene where Dev bets that Vedhi will definitely give him his ring back though he doesn't know her personally quite unrealistic and irrational.

Vedhi's family is sincere and simple. They got so much afraid of losing that ring thinking Dev wouldn't get sleep that night either. That last scene was really funny smiley37.

I think the pacing is okay so far. I liked that Dev-Vidi interaction has been simple so far, without going overboard.

Sneha's decent as Emy maasi but the role still seems puzzling for some reason since the only thing it seems like was there seems to be past between her & Dev. The ending scene from 1st episode was weirdly placed for some reason. šŸ˜• Maybe it could be the editing or something. I agree with the Dev's SIL being irritating, but I felt she was more like a side-kick to add fuel to the fire so wasn't much riveted in her anyways. Lol, the "touchy touchy" dialog was cringe for some reason. šŸ˜†

Lol, I kinda chuckled a bit of over Vidi calling Dev "uncle", but I think the handling of the scene was nice/execution. It seemed like Dev might've gotten used to being "uncle" or something. It's nice to see him describe what he observed from Vidi's eyes as honesty, otherwise the friend of Dev was giving what's typically anticipated after giving away a ring.

Lol, Dev's physical appearance kinda juxtaposes what his step-mom looks like though šŸ˜‚ . Kinda felt she was somewhat subconsciously greedy or something, don't know lol šŸ˜‚ . People around Dev talk more about his ring/money than himself.

Also, I liked Vidi's mother (have seen her in a show for couple of episodes but can't remember it now lolšŸ˜†). The younger sister, kinda felt she was annoying (execution wise, felt it was overdone) whereas the father doing the blame game of Vidi pretending to be skittish was tad annoying. Though she does seem to have brains but requires a proper direction.

I hope the step mom isn't evil, please. That's been overused in ITV and we don't need another EK show.

I noticed the difference in her hair and Dev's lol.

I think Dev didn't find Vedi calling him "Uncle" that weird as he noticed that she is much younger than him.

Ya i can't agree more ! Dev's first impression of Vedi is accuratešŸ‘šŸ¼. He could feel she is honest and sincere.

The younger sister's dialogues are quite annoying, but maybe they wanted to show that she is totally different from Vedi. She is an outspoken person and she voices her opinions.

Bold: Yes, I think she called him on an unintentional basis, more so. I think Dev's arc is such a way that he doesn't react much as to whether someone manipulates/humiliates him. Like the scene with Emy making him sit on his knees, he kneeled down for his step-sister's sake. It seems like he is cognizant but not much of reactiveness is showcased. Even when Vedi called him uncle unintentionally, he didn't counter-react but rather gave his ring as a response to when, by accident, his arm bumped into hers and the bowl broke.

I think the handling was done nicely without doing much OTT bashan-baaji (that would've been anticipated from typical interactions amongst the leads in other ITV shows as to the whole "paise ki value, blah blah blah" lol šŸ˜‚). She simply went and tried to tell her aunt & family before she disclosed to her parents and sister about the ring.

When it comes to that scene of him kneeling down, it clearly shows how his sister's happiness is more important for him than his ego. He wasn't reluctant to kneel down, he was just taken aback by Amba's order. And maybe he still has feelings for her judging by his weird behavior once he sees her. There was a scene from today's episode where Amba tells him "rukjayena Dev!" and he just turns around though his sister asked him to stay at home right before her. šŸ¤”
