Shamshera seems not only a disaster at box office but also the actuel film is a disaster. I hope ranbir learnt from this and will finally start do movies that suit him more. Trying to do genres that others are successful, doesnt mean that he will successful in it too.

This. Alia has no star power either so to speak. Gangubai is not a clean hit, the numbers have been fudged and PR backed reviews were pushed with full force. If she were such a force to be reckoned with, why hasn't Sadak 2 Or Kalank have the same outcome? Now that is being conveniently pushed aside. The truth is both miya biwi have created a perception of success around their films. The PR backed branding and the eventual break ups and hookups have what kept them in the news. Now that Kaka is old and married, people couldn't give a eff. His movies have to solely ride on his talent and smart script sense which he is severely lacking. Ranbir saw success when ge does "self journey bs". Nobody wants a 40 year old backpack and find himself now. Alia is a one trick pony as well. She has seen success because she is served with movies that work with her petite and girl next door quality. One hot, glamarous role and she'd be exposed.
