am just copying pasting what I wrote yesterday in my thread about malini:
so I watch way too many of these crime patrol type shows and episodes. am forgetting the word they use to describe someone like anu but she is the classic partner/support/co-dependant. anu would never seek help for her daughter because she is indirectly active in the crime herself. she is getting satisfaction of revenge through her daughter's acts and she is also bitter, angry and frustrated. so rather than get her help or try to steer her on the right path, anu would instead be asking if they can escape properly and still execute some revenge. if you see the way anu frames questions to malini, we can see that happening.... mother and daughter feed off each other's negative thoughts and feelings to get the support to be more elaborate in the crimes...
And that's really sad. Because, with the way actors are portraying the characters, AC is very much in her senses who just wants to take revenge at whoever she wants. She comes out as a criminal outright, While with Malini, we can sense a sort of pain and helplessness where some part of her doesn't want to do what she's doing, while the other part makes it look like no no no, she is cruel and disgusting. Which makes us have a sort of sympathy with her for a moment, while our mind warns us that she can't be forgiven for what she did with Cheeku and Gudiya in the previous episode.
