so I watch way too many of these crime patrol type shows and episodes. am forgetting the word they use to describe someone like anu but she is the classic partner/support/co-dependant. anu would never seek help for her daughter because she is indirectly active in the crime herself. she is getting satisfaction of revenge through her daughter's acts and she is also bitter, angry and frustrated. so rather than get her help or try to steer her on the right path, anu would instead be asking if they can escape properly and still execute some revenge. if you see the way anu frames questions to malini, we can see that happening.... mother and daughter feed off each other's negative thoughts and feelings to get the support to be more elaborate in the crimes...

And that's really sad. Because, with the way actors are portraying the characters, AC is very much in her senses who just wants to take revenge at whoever she wants. She comes out as a criminal outright, While with Malini, we can sense a sort of pain and helplessness where some part of her doesn't want to do what she's doing, while the other part makes it look like no no no, she is cruel and disgusting. Which makes us have a sort of sympathy with her for a moment, while our mind warns us that she can't be forgiven for what she did with Cheeku and Gudiya in the previous episode.

basically anu is the straightforward villain with malicious intentions and malini is actually the complex villain. this kind of destructive combo can make great drama provided the writers know how to write it. but I am not sure if they know how to mine it for conflict. to be honest, I am seen such complex villians and their malicious sidekick play out excellent in children's cartoons / anime with far greater tact, depth and realism. it not only makes for a great watch but also adds a lot of poignancy at what could have been if the complex villain had not leaned into their dark side...

Like you, I too am lazy in posting separate replies on what you wrote in my other post and here. So, putting up a combined reply, which is almost similar.

Whether it be about writing a proper plot for the Malini as a complex villain or a proper realisation track for Imlie on how far she is accountable for her sister's perils, I am craving to see the CVs backing it with strong emotional dialogues & not rushed execution. Our Team is capable of it. But the problem is our show runs on a TRP hungry channel and is a primetime show with strong competition. With the show now not being the slot leader anymore, I am now in a position of even being scared of the longevity of the show. In such a state, I am now even scared of what they are going to do with Aryan's character. Tbh, I was not at all bothered about what will happen in today's episode, as I was expecting Aryan to react like this only. While I am happy he was shown to be a human, I am scared about what next. Because, if they are showing him joining hands with Malini as part of him going revengeful against Imlie for leaving him, I don't know how to react. They can go to that extent for the sake of drama. But there is a limit. So, I am just eagerly waiting for Wednesday & following episodes to see whether it's a make or break w.r.to Aryan and probably the show itself. 😔

we will have to wait and see -- for a while, I have been wondering if the show was on cancellation alert and hence, the bizarre rushed arcs. so I am very cautious with my expectations and basically trying to have none.

if aryan marries malini -- I wouldn't be surprised because I was wondering that a while ago and even posted about it. 😆 if they do, we are seeing a type of kausati zindagi ki ekta kapoor type show format. to be honest, there is a good TRP audience for that kind of drama and it can be fun to watch -- as pure timepass while you are having dinner or doing some work. they can be comical. 🤷

Aryan was offered to join hands with Malini twice earlier. He denied. But with Aryan getting to self destruction mode, anything can happen. I don't know Aryan-Malini will marry, or Aryan-BD. Possibility of Aryan-BD is more. Narmada also knows Malini well.

Malini has become beyond redemption. Now she has to be killed off somewhere.

Anyways, Aryan-Imlie face off is what lies ahead

Pooja....when the makers themselves are treating him as a passive character, I don't feel like discussing about him at all. In our regional version, Dev was an active character who was on Imlie's side till the end, while at the same time not missing an opportunity to drill sense into Malini's brain. As a result, though Malini looses the track for a short time, she soon comes back into her senses and chooses a practical route. So, it's not because he is not a culprit that I have spared him; but because his side of the story is not shown much. When was the last time we saw him in Imlie? As a flash during PD track only to rescue Imlie from the goons sent by Anu; he was not even shown dropping her to PD. That's just irresponsible writing because of which I avoided talking about him and accept him as a coward. 😊

Bold - Sorry...I am not interested. Kyonki ek aur baar vo lamhe dauraane ka taakat nahin hai mujhme. I never can imagine Aryan as an EK show character who throws his lover down the bridge to save her from the villain. Mujhe maaf kar do bhai. 🤣

I too don't rule out the possibility of Aryan-BD marriage. That still I can accept because Aryan will be free from having any sort of emotional & physical connect with her and even if he does it would be only for Narmada. But, if he marries Malini it would only be out of revenge on Imlie and he will be having an emotional connect with Malini, evenif it is in the form of hate, which is also a strong emotion like love. That will put a daag on Aryan's love for Imlie.

in the Malayalam version Dev was active throughout and he always tried to put sense to Malini. and Malini was not a demon, she was shown helpless victim and jealous of Imlie. end game was Adini with Imlie becoming a doctor. Imlie only convinced SK that Aditya and Malini were in true love and her real purpose of life is not to become his wife. I really liked that and was my first Malayalam serial I watched

Many of the regional shows have a longer run than their Hindi counterparts because of less channel interference and most of the time show realistic content. Because these channels are not behind the ratings like SP. Koodevide is an example of it whereas SP pulled the plug of its Hindi counterpart SAAKK by unnecessarily thrusting a marriage plot in between, while in the Malayalam version the leads are not yet married. That's how SP destroys it's own shows through unwanted interference.
