Why, if you don't mind my asking?

It's nothing serious. Just these new generation actors and mainstream movies don't exite me.

Only have watched The Kashmir Files and Rocketry after hearing good WOM. That's it.

Beautifully expressed.

Geet was in love with Anshuman, but he let her down badly. That was her reality. But Aditya was the person who loved her without expecting anything in return. He loved her so much that he always did what was best for her, without thinking about himself.

He was selfless in his love. He epitomized love at its purest essence. And to me, that's what Jab We met is all about.

People equate Jab We Met with Geet. Yes, she was loud and bubbly. That might capture attention easily.

But the movie is so much, much more. The movie is about how a boy loved a girl so much, he saved her in every possible way there is to save a person. Pure love.

It's Imitiaz Ali's best movie because here he got the concept of love right.

In his other movies, he is not able to stitch together the character growth arcs as skilfully as he was able to here. Here, he showed how love can transform, and the redemptive power of love.

Agreed ( aren't you hopelessly romantic!)

@b- true for most people the film= geet. But it was Aditya who was subtle and affective- we should give heads up to Shahid coz he portrayed the character with right amount of charm without coming as lame but subtle.

The Kdrama lovers has many trope one of it is " second lead syndrome" wherein they have a second lead hero who is everything a girl desires for - he is attentive, always by her side, treats her like a queen, loves her but never forces his will on her, is subtle and gentleman, in short most of the drama watchers fall for "SLS" and gets furious when heroine leaves him for the main lead.

Aditya was all of that a lead with a second lead qualities. He let her do what she wants- accepted her how she is. ( anshuman is unhappy coz of her eccentric behaviour)supports her all throughout, loves her unconditionally and yet never expects she reciprocate his love. He is happy seeing her happy.

It was as you said Imtiyaz greatest work.
