KJo, YRF and the industry in general have tried shoving a LOT of starlets and starkids down the audience's throat

It did not start with Alia and it has not ended with Alia. Abhishek, Uday, Tushar, Sonam, Hrithik before Alia and the never ending brigade of starkids since then have all been pushed incessantly on the audience.

And yet only a handful of them have come out winners in this long list which tells you that the audience is not as gullible as you guys might be considering them to be. In the end talent is needed - be it screen presence or acting skills or good looks.

Alia has the acting skills and has made the most of her opportunities. Post her crappy debut in SOTY, she has had the odd crapfest but even there her performance was never ridiculed. Her peers have under performed and her new gen competition has been bland to say the least. So in the end talent will talk

People give Abhishek's example always..but he debuted around the same time as Hrithik..and the latter had a dream debut and became heart throb of the nation. While Abhi had a flop debut. And obviously Hrithik is more appealing to the eye.

Which nepo kid was Alia's competition? Her path was clear.

Hrithik is not responsible for Abhishek's failure. It's not like Abhishek got only one chance he had millions. But he didn't had that appeal to be loved by the masses.

Ranbir too had debuted with flop sawariya but still he made a name for himself with correct choices n good acting. Same goes with alia.

Of course Alia has a massive publicity campaign and the entire might of Karan behind her. But it is telling how every starlet has tried to copy Alia since, and not one of them has managed to take off with the audiences. Heck Jhanvi's entire career mantra seems to be "What will Alia do". She makes incredibly smart choices and is a stronger actor than all of her contemporaries, old and new. And Karan would have long dropped her, if it wasn't a two way street. She has revitalized Dharma and mythologized Karan as a god-father like figure.

I think what truly sets Alia apart is that she has a vision for her career. It's never easy choices. No Khan films, no three songs-ten scene roles in blockbusters and no relying on sex appeal. If Alia were to show up in Pathaan or Tiger 3, audiences would be disappointed. They have been trained to expect something better from Alia.

This is the absolute Truth. It's definitely a 2 way street. 👍🏼

KJo has definitely went out of this way to promote Alia. Thanks to him, she always got author-backed roles.

But even then, Alia proved her mettle with her hard work in her films. 👏

Her career could've easily ended back in 2014 after those "Alia Bhatt Memes" went viral. OR with the brutal trolling that Sadak got in 2020.

Like they say, the internet never "forgets". But both times, Alia successfully came out of these phases.

It's not easy to come out these phases. Like they say, the Internet Never Forgets. Sara is still trolled for her "Tum Mujhe Tang Karte Ho" dialogue, which was more than 2 years ago.😆

Luck has also favored Alia because she never got any tough competition.

• Her only competitors Shraddha and Parineeti, have had ON-OFF careers so far.
  
• She was never in the "flower-pot heroine" bracket which has been mainly occupied by Jackie, Disha, Tara, Vaani and countless others.
  
• The likes of Bhumi, Sanya never competed with Alia as they seem to be doing roles that establish them as "actresses" not "heroines". (Like Tabu & Vidya from past decades)
  
• Taapsee kind of made her own "genre" of films, so Alia never went into competition with her.
• The new gen actresses like Jhanvi, Sara Ananaya etc etc are merely following Alia, not competing with her.

Yes, although I will give her credit. She's one of the few who actually loves being an actor, loves being on set, and actually cares about the nuances of film-making. She prioritizes her acting in movies first, and then the secondary gains after (ads, photoshoots, events etc). That's what probably endeared KJo to her early on back in the day

That said, Kareena, Katrina, and Deepika are still around despite a new "number 1". That alone says a lot

Well..there r many who would say that Ranbir's popularity is exactly like Alia's. PR crafted..coz he has also had a lot of hits n misses like Abhishek..

Though nothing matches Hrithik's craze on his debut. I like all the 4 😊

In season 4 of KWK , she said she wants to marry Ranbir Kapoor twice in both her appearances !! Voila ! She’s married to him

In the same season , even though it was in response to a RF question , she said she wants to kill Sushant and he’s dead now . She wanted to hook up with Ranveer and she indeed has in a different way for a film .

Whatever she wants , she gets . Surprisingly, a promising career of parineeti bombed and shraddha became inconsequential.

I am scared of Alia now .. she can do anything by using her tongue ..
