Having divorce as subject was not the problem, it was the execution that failed .

Why is this trade analyst acting so aggressive?

I've asked my mom multiple times whether she is happy with her marriage and even brought up divorce a few times. It's not as farfetched as this loony thinks.

He should just stick to analyzing BO stats and not get into critiquing content, because that is clearly not his forte.

this guy should keep to counting the money, it is the way the movie is made, how did badhaai ho or vicky donor get accepted

but he is right in some way that there is a disconnect between what is being potrayed on screen and the audience, whether it is the society, emotions don't know, there is no feel for the pulse of the audience

but i doubt whether that is this guy's observation, he has probably picked it from comments or other articles

"Kis planet se aaye hai" ???

This movie was a NECESSARY take on a perspective children in India should actually adopt. Having divorced parents myself, I have with time realized how most of us are raised within this regressive 'brown' culture that view our parents as dysfunctional/dismissive of their children if they decide to get divorced. So much that we forget that our parents are individuals who deserve to be happy as well. They're not just 'parents'.

Society is so quick to speculate and judge that if we come from divorced families, we're left with traumas. Iske baad if we decide to visit a therapist for the sake of our sanity, we're automatically labelled as 'pagal'. Now just imagine how many unhappy couples sacrifice their whole lives only because they fear judgement.

So it was pretty refreshing to see such a movie being made in India because in Europe/US, these aren't as uncomfortable conversations to have with parents.

Mr. Nahta needs to widen his mind and be open to change.
