Actually yes, from the very beginning it comes under romantic drama only.... Bhale hi kitna bhi ridiculous ho uska main genre romantic drama hi hai

Baad me woh crime investigation nd all part me jada chala gaya but still its romantic drama

Ekta ke most of shows romantic drama genre me aate hai KKB, KDB, YHC etc

There is reason why we cant call it rom drama, iss me saas ka character kaafi pivotal hai plus fl ki nanad bhi saazishe karti hai, then show ka most of plot FL ki shaadi pe revolve hota hai.... Yeh saari cheeze Fam drama me aati hai like yrkkh, ghum etc

Ab romantic drama ki def dekho, isme leads ki shadi kaise hogi nd all ispe focus nhi rehta, unki shadi bina taam jhaam ke hojati hai.... Like yhc, ipk me hogyi .... Story writers mostly ficus on slowly developed romance of leads, then seperation, leap , reunion yeh sab bhi hota hai leads ka romance ke diff phases dikhane ke liye
