One hundred and nineteen runs. That's all there is. England have bulldozed their way to a target that is supposed to be hard to get. Hundreds of years of Test cricket has proven that 378 is meant to be nigh on unattainable. And yet here we are in a world where it is inevitable. You've been saying it all along on commentary feedback and that more than anything else is the biggest impact of Bazball. It's made everyone believe in this England team once again.

It made Alex Lees believe he belonged here and he showed that, starting things off with a half-century that was better than run a ball for most of it. It made Zak Crawley shut out the doubters and show off his sky high potential. It freed Joe Root to be the world beating batter that he was always destined to be. And it literally brought Jonny Bairstow back to life. Yorkshire's finest will be back in action tomorrow in front of a sold out crowd (with free entry). India will be back too. Jasprit Bumrah will need to summon one of his bursts if he is to avoid going to go down in the wrong kind of history on his very first Test as India captain. For now, all we can do is step back, soak it all in, get a good night's sleep and await history.

May be this their trick to make opposition team overconfident so that they play casually in their second innings 😆

Till the end of Day 3, India were in a commanding position, and they were in a pretty good position even after setting a challenging target of 378 earlier today.

But England came out all guns blazing and with the same aggressive approach once again. The openers got them off to a rollicking start and although England lost three wickets in a cluster following that, the pair of Root and Bairstow steadied the ship in the final session.

Now, it is a cakewalk for England, just a matter of few overs.

Bumrah was impressive as usual, claiming a couple of wickets, and Lees was run-out, but none of the other Indian bowlers looked threatening enough. Siraj did create a chance, but Bairstow was put down by Vihari. Had that catch been taken, the equation might probably have been different, but that wasn't to be. With 119 more runs to get, Root and Bairstow look well set to take England over the line. Will India manage to break this partnership and take a few more wickets to make things interesting? Or will this pair run away with the run chase?
