Can love wither and die? Of course yes. It depends on deal breaker too. For some it’s cheating, others respect, and for many both. How can you love when you have no respect for your partner? Or if you love how can you cheat? I was asked this question one and I truly believe that we as humans regardless of our marital or relationship status can be attracted to others, it’s biology but to act upon it or not is another question. That’s why we are not animals in a monogamous relationship but humans that know what is morally right or wrong.

Now to this show - I don’t think apart from Shehroz Ushna anyone is in love. Wahab Naima is more of a compromise where initially there was respect but that appears to be fading. How can anyone love wheelchair Naima so she is out too, the two Rs are in a comfortable relationship and same goes to sujat and mehnaaz.

In fact I think whilst Shehroz loves Ushna he needs to learn about respect and trust. It shouldn’t come and go. You either do or you don’t. That will come with time of course but the middle is looking crap from where I am seeing. I hope Shehroz doesn’t say more demeaning things as I really don’t want that given they are end game.

The reason why I am saying that Ushna and Zainab will easily forgive Shehroz as they find it natural for him trusting his mother. As both Zainab and Ushna have done the same, blindly trusting their blood relations. Zainab has been denied her rights in property, was kicked out from the house, still she defended Sufiyan and accepted their dinner invitation and even invited them in Ushroz rukhsati. Same with Ushna, she trusted Sufiyan time and again.

Both know, Naima is wrong but they also dont blame Shehroz for trusting her and siding with her as they feel, they might have done the same if at Shehroz's place . Even on the table, when Shehroz asked Ushna to apologize, she did not blame Shehroz instead she said, it is Naima because of which they are fighting. He says hurtful things but again Zainab sees that a part of his impulsive nature something like Ushna reacts at times ,and when she said hurtful things to her own mom during adoption fiasco. So even Ushna did not leave her mother when it came to saying hurtful things and disrespecting people.

So, it wont be difficult for them to forgive shehroz. Also ,Shehroz does have a plus point when he went against Naima for Ushna ,so it wont be difficult for him to get the trust and love back both from Ushna and Zainab.

I was also thinking that wahab - zainab relationship is just of compromise and security. but given how upset zainab is enough to fall sick from stress, maybe she likes him a bit more than she lets on. maybe it is not this passionate all consuming love that she had for farooq but I think she loves wahab in a quieter compromise way where she would miss him if the marriage breaks. she is not just worried for ushna but also is worried for herself.

that is a good point about deal breakers because it is not the same per person. I refer back to spnfan's post where she mentioned none of the drama women seem to have self-respect enough to divorce. but while it may be down to lack of financial options, maybe self-respect is too far for some? I find it strange that a family can have izzat, a man have izzat but very few dramas how a woman can also have izzat. instead, her need for izzat, honour is treated like a problem instead. 🤷

but what do folks think are the deal breaks for ushna and zainab?

I slightly agree you on this. She did say this to Ushna before that Ushna and Shehroz's relationship will affect hers and Wahab's . So somewhere , she does not want Wahab to leave her. I dont even think , it is because of financial security. I will call it attachment rather than love. She does get affected by him ignoring and scolding her.

exactly -- we don't necessarily think of attachment as very romantic or all consuming feeling but there are different types of love right? english has only one word but that is not necessarily the case in other languages. even in hindi/urdu, there is pyaar, ishq and mohabaat. while I am not sure what is the differentiation, I do know enough that these words have specific context and place and cannot be randomly used.

I guess, in this regard ,Zainab is more fickle than Ushna. I dont think Ushna has ever wanted to live this life she is living. I found her ambitious, with tremendous self respect and a courageous girl. She started to find a job after her father's death and kept going to university after marriage. I feel with time, Zainab's pressurising her for marriage, zainab being caught up in toxic relationship with her brothers and Sufiyan running after Ushna, has forced Ushna to be in this situation plus her losing her identity after knowing her adoption truth has affected her a lot. But i also feel, if the time comes, she will leave the house with Zainab ,will provide strong suppport to her, considering how she has been shown in the past, and also the way she stands up to Naima and Shehroz.

When she says to Zainab-" Shauhar hai to kuch bhi kahenge about Shehroz" that says a lot how Ushna keeps her self respect above Shehroz.

Yeah,to be honest , i really dont know what love actually is. There is no fixed description of it. Like you said,it can have many types, can happen with reasons and even without reasons. Attachment may be a form of love or maybe first step towards love. You first get attached , then fall in love. Even Respect and trust can also be a form of love or initial steps towards love 😆

'what is love?" is one of the greatest mysteries. in some cases, people fall in love out of gratitude (like ushna feeling how shehroze stood by her side and offered her support) but in others gratitude does not mean the person can love and feels only a friendship (like how ushna initially felt about sufiyan).

I used to think that these stalkers like sufiyan who claim love are liars. after all, how can they truly love the person if they want to hurt them? maybe because I watched too many crime documentaries, I have come to feel that love can also be a negative toxic emotion in the hands of some. it can make people go down a crazy path because for them, love is a possession and when the object of their love walk out or reject them, they take violent steps...

I know, fans are disappointed in Shehroz including me.. But the reason , i dont mind Shehroz and Ushna being end game because they both are same. If there was someone like Hala in place of Ushna , i would wanted Ushna to come out from the toxic relationship. But the thing is Ushna not forgiving Shehroz does not make sense when she has done the same in past. When she says "Meri maa aisi nhi hai," that means she does trust Zainab blindly. It is just that she is lucky to have a right person as a mother like Priya ( spnfan) said. The same mother who she pushed to a situation that she ended up being in hospital. Did she listen to Zainab then? She was still blaming Zainab to hide her mother being a dancer and said hurtful things to her, the same Zainab who only lives for her daughter. Ushna toh anyways Shehroz's wife who he barely knows since few months. So if Shehroz is not an ideal guy, Ushna too has not been the one. She was too naive to recognise Sufiyan being a stalker and harasser. So , Shehroz is toh anyways trusting his mother..
