I started watching gunesin kizlari because it also had hande ersal in it but the girl playing her sister was much better at acting and she and her bf had way more chemistry as well.

vibha -- it struck me that you might be wondering why I keep mentioning weaves and how they are different across different regions. so this isn't how western fashion works but here, we pay a lot of attention to the cloth itself. the thread count, the material, the design motifs, the embroidery -- all of that isn't random.

different regions have very specific design motifs. for example, the mango design on a sari is something very south indian. (the gold embroidered sea shell shaped design -- that is inspired by mangoes)

normally when you go to a sari shop, they will sell you by budget, material and region (motif/design). it is that specific. even if you are not a sari expert, most locals can tell at a glance what region the sari is from or the design is inspired by just by the weaves and motfis. even the colours can be very specific to a certain type of region.

sharing this ad video -- it is old but the sari house specifically identifies different saris by the region it comes from. the weaves may look the same to the untrained eye but they really are not.
