Edit: She had a 7 min role in Dune. She attended every international event like she was the star. I love her but!

MCU put her on the map as a global star though. Superhero movies, especially Spiderman franchise, has god level reach and popularity. She is wildly popular in Philippines due to Spiderman. So yeah, wo chalta. Besides nobody can go all their career without doing 2-3 flower pot roles. I feel she balances it pretty well with high octave acting required in Euphoria to breezy and fun role such as MJ. Same goes for Malcolm and Marie (hated the movie, a big dud), which required serious effort.

I agree about Dune though. I was expecting a lot more of her but the focus was on Chalamet. But it's a franchise and her role is fleshed out a lot more as per the books. I heard Dune 2 is an out and out Zendaya show.

Zendaya is so grossly overrated in terms of both looks & acting. She permanently has that resting b*tch or annoyed expression plastered on her face even while she's acting.

But I really love her & Tom together they are adorable 😆and I yeah get her appeal, her confidence & attitude is one of it's kind, still she's as overrated as they get.

Zendaya sometimes reminds me of Alia. I think it’s the smile, they have similar smiles.

I got to know Zendaya first from DWTS season 16. I really enjoyed her dancing but also her overall personality. It was impressive how well-spoken and self-assured she was for a Disney child star.

While she may not shine exceedingly in looks or acting, the reason Zendaya is so beloved is her whole package. Her looks, her talent (singing, dancing, acting), her personality, and her business sensibilities (she's worked on a variety of projects to appeal to various audiences and not been pigeonholed, she has a business line too outside of acting.) That's why Zendaya is a crush for so many people.

I think it is perfectly fine for a 40-something or older person to crush on a 20-something person. The more important thing for older people to realize is that they shouldn't pursue relationships with 20-somethings because people in their 20s are still figuring themselves out. The human brain doesn't even fully develop until 25-26. However, once both people are well over 30 age doesn't matter.

Anyway, Tom Holland and Zendaya are couple goals.

Zendaya's acting is kind of mehh. All her scenes in Euphoria put me to sleep and I literally watch them at 2x speed.

However, I do get the hype around her. She seems to have chemistry with everyone, men and women alike. She also has a non-pretentious easygoing personality.
