Chapter 22
"Aryan" Imlie called. Aryan looking at her, payal still visible in his hand.
"Ab toh hum jaa rahe hai toh tum mujhe rokoge nahi." Imlie said and went close to him.
"Ye humari payal hai" Imlie said.
She leaned forward more closer to Aryan and took the payal from his hands.
"Shukriya" she said and kissed his cheeks.
"Akkadbagge" Imlie shouted. She had called him several times but he wasn't responding. He was standing with his back facing her.
Aryan opened his eyes realising it wasn't real but his dream, quickly pocketing her Payal. He turned and looked at her.
"Mujhe tumhe kuch kehna hai" Imlie said moving towards him.
Aryan got a flash of his dream and moved a step back.
"Hume kal chutti chahiye" Imlie said.
Aryan just nodded his head still in the trance.
"Shukriya" She smiled at him and left his room. Aryan almost thought she'll kiss his cheeks.
Ye kya ho raha hai tere saath Aryan thought kahin didi sahi toh nahi bol rahi thi. Nahi, you're just tired. I'll sleep it off. Glad, I figured out what was wrong with me.
Malini told the Tripathi's that Imlie had sold the flat.
AKT informed them that Imlie had sold all their properties to Aryan, who was informed by his lawyers. He had planned to find a way to take his property back from Imlie. So he asked his lawyer's about it when they informed him she had sold all the property to Aryan this morning.
AKT went to Bhaskar Times to confront her when he wasn't allowed in.
Imlie had taken a day off to pack & shift her stuff to her new apartment.
Arpita suggested her to move her stuff by Friday, so that she gets 2 days to step up her house.
Next morning, Imlie received a call from Malini asking her to meet. Aryan had already left for work. She left to meet her.
Imlie reached the location Malini had asked her to meet. She was in an abandoned area. She had a feeling something bad was about to happen.
Just then, a car stopped and a group of men exited the car.
She understood it's a trap. She hide the abandoned factory. First, she turned silent mode on. Then she dialled ABP's number.
Aryan was in a meeting so hadn't noticed her call. She tried again.
She looked up when the goons were showing her picture & someone said Imlie.
She was right, they were after her.
After finishing up the meeting, Aryan saw he had many missed calls from Imlie.
Surprised, he called her back but she didn't respond this time. Aryan was pulled in another meeting so he didn't further investigate.
After few hours, that evening Aryan went to Rathore Mansion to see a worried Arpita. She informed him they were going to set up Imlie's flat but she didn't show up. Arpita had went out. When she checked with Raju, he said Imlie had went out in the morning after receiving a call.
Aryan tried to call again after several attempts she picked up his call & whispered that she was in trouble. She sent him her live location then disconnected the call.
Aryan followed her location. He found Imlie's phone minus Imlie. They was no one there. He searched everywhere looking for clues.
Aryan understood this was the work of Mrs. Tripathi aka Imlie's step sister. Imlie had informed him about the phone call between the sisters regarding Imlie's flat.
He directly went to Tripathi Niwas with his lawyer who introduced Aryan as the new owner and asked them to vacate ASAP, if they want extension they would have inform him about Imlie's whereabouts who was currently missing.
No one knew anything or had any idea. Aryan went back to Rathore Mansion.
He asked his security detail to keep an eye on Mrs. & Mr. Aditya Kumar Tripathi.
Aryan went to his room & once again saw her.
Imlie was sitting on his bed.
"Tum kaho ho. Maine tumhe bohot dhoondne ki koshish ki. Tum mil nahi rahi mujhe" Aryan said.
She didn't reply just smiled at him. He went to her and just hugged her. "Please. Please...Please" he closed his eyes and desired with great fervour that she was not a dream.

Chapter 23
Tripathi's were ousted in the middle of the night from Tripathi Niwas. They were allowed to pack suitcases then Aryan's lawyers locked the house.
Having no option, Malini took them to her father's house. Tripathi's settled in, ordered some food from restaurant & went to sleep.
Next Morning, AKT went to Rathore Mansion where he was greeted by Aryan's security detail who didn't allow him to enter. Aryan was leaving to search for Imlie.
"Tum humare saath kaunsi dushmani nikal rahe ho" AKT asked Aryan.
"Saalo purani wali..Mr. so called reporter aapke ek galat article se an innocent man lost his reputation & life. Aaj aap wahi hai bas farak itna hai you're not innocent & you've bought it upon yourself." Aryan said
"Kiski baat kar rahe hai" AKT asked
"Aur kitno ki jaan li hai ki yaad hi nahi, Mr. Tripathi. Let me jog your memory, I'm talking about Arvind Shekhawat" Aryan replied.
"Unhe zinda jala diya tha" AKT asked.
Aryan gestured his security detail who removed AKT.
Malini was surprised at turn of events. Imlie didn't show up to meet her. She believed the person who kidnapped her must be Aryan's enemy who targeted her.
The Tripathi's decided to leave this city & settle in another city. They know that they won't be able to live her after this scandal.
AKT agreed with his parents. He had noticed how everyone around him treated when he went to meet his ex-boss.
The only person unhappy with this development was Malini. She didn't want to leave her parents house. It would mean that she lost to Imlie & now was running away like a coward.
Malini called her goons to search Imlie's whereabouts. She thought it was an excellent opportunity to get what she wanted.
AKT was astonished to hear that Arvind Shekhawat was Aryan Singh Rathore's jiju. Aryan used Imlie just to take revenge on him.
Aryan's search to find Imlie was futile. He had exhausted almost all the places he could search her. Where are you, Imlie?
He remembered his last conversation with Imlie that morning just before he left for office. She had asked him the reason of his hatred for AKT. He ignored her question instead he inquired about her assignment.
"Tumne mere sawaal ka jawab nahi diya" she said.
"I'm your boss, Imlie. Don't forget." Aryan said snapping at her.
"Tum humare friend bhi ho." Imlie said quietly.
"I'm not your friend" Aryan replied.
"Yes, Sir" Imlie said.
Then he had gone to Bhaskar Times.
I'm sorry, Imlie. I'm you're friend. I'll be anything you want me to be. Please come back. Aryan thought.
Malini wondered where was Imlie. No body could find her. She received a call. The caller said he had kidnapped her sister & in exchange of 20cr, he'll free her. Malini agreed and asked him the location to drop the ransom.
Malini without informing anyone left after few hours with a duffel bag full of fake currency notes. She reached the location only to see the kidnapper face covered asking for ransom.
"Tum ye paise rakho lo & kill her. Mein tumhe aur bhi paise de sakti hu." Malini said.
"Tum apni behen ko maarna kyu chahti ho" kidnapper asked
"Please don't call her my sister. I hate her. Meine mom ne kya kuch nahi kiya usse maarne ke liye lekin wo har bar bach gayi" Malini started listing all the times she tried to kill Imlie but failed. Finally, she had a chance without Mr. Rathore to interfere.
The kidnapper agreed but only if she paid him more money.
Malini left feeling elated finally she'll live in peace with the love of her life.
The Tripathi's were looking for a place to stay outside this city. Malini joined them happily discussing the options they had picked.
AKT entered saw the Tripathi's busy discussing & planning. He went straight to his room. Maybe, Imlie didn't know the whole truth he'll show her the true face of Aryan.
Aryan went to home late at night. He was feeling restless. He didn't know where to find her. He went to his garden after eating dinner for a walk. He'll inform police. He was so stupid he should've already involved the police. Maybe by now, she would be here.
He went to his dark room. Without turning on the lights, he went to freshen up. He turned on his lights and looked at the person who haunted him "Imlie" he whispered.

Chapter 24
He turned on his lights and looked at the person who haunted him "Imlie" he whispered.
Aryan froze thinking it was his dream again but he welcomed it. He remembered a quote from withering heights it was something like:
Haunt me
Drive me mad
but don't leave me
in the abyss where
I cannot find you
In that moment, he admitted to himself what he had been denying that he did feel something for her.
"Imlie" he sighted, walking towards her and hugged her tightly.
Imlie hugged him back "ABP" feeling guilty for making him worry.
"Hum sach mein yaha hai" she realised he was not responding to what she said and probably he hadn't heard her.
She patted his back trying to get his attention. Thinking about the way Aryan reacted whenever Arpita talked about finding Imlie a groom, she said " Humne Satinder se bhaag kar shaadi kar li"
Aryan took a full minute to process what she said. "What" he almost yelled.
"Don't lie, Imlie. Ye bohot bura mazak hai. Uss gabru jawaan se bhaag ke shaadi nahi ki tumne" he said.
Imlie laughed, "Ha, nahi ki hai". "Tum sach mein yaha ho?" Aryan asked.
"Nahi, hum tumhe satane aaye hai. Hum Imlie ki kalpana jo tumhare dil aur dimaag pe chaayi hai" she said.
Aryan just looked at her, she felt so real.
When Imlie didn't get Aryan's reply, she said "Hum yaha hai koi kalpana nahi".
Then she pulled his cheeks with both her hands "Akkadbagge? Tum kaha kho gaye"
"I'm Aryan Singh Rathore. How dare you pulled my cheeks. Jadoo ki tarah tum gayab kaha thi" Aryan said reigning his emotions in.
"Yeh ek lambi Kahani hai" she said.
AKT didn't know Imlie's whereabouts. Apparently, Aryan didn't know as well, it was clear from the way he behaved yesterday and ousted them.
He suspected Malini's mother had something to do with it.
Just then bell rang, and Malini had went to open the door. Police arrested her. AKT called his lawyer to bail Malini. AKT & Tripathi's learnt that Aryan Singh Rathore had registered FIR against Malini and somebody anonymous had dropped evidence against her.
The lawyer, AKT & Tripathi's saw a recording of Malini confessing her crime including the efforts she made to get close to AKT while being married to Imlie. And Malini asking the person to murder Imlie.
AKT & Tripathi's were shocked to hear. AKT felt guilty for ignoring Imlie. Had Aryan Singh Rathore not been in the equation he would've proposed to her. Maybe he can still try.
"Hum tumhe kaha tha na meri fire ka andaaza abhi nahi hai. Malini ko jail bhejne hum gayab hue. Alibi banane k liye pehle gundo ko hire kiya Malini ban ke aur Imlie ko kidnapper karne ki supari do. Phir unn hi chupke tumhe call kiya ye kehne ki hume madad chahiye. Apna phone waha chhod kar jaana." Imlie said
Aryan interrupted her "do you have any idea how worried I was? Koi andaaza hai. Aur agar tumhe kuch ho jata toh. Mujhe apne plan mein include kyu nahi kiya" he asked.
"Tum humari bohot madad ki hai. Malini ke khilaf FIR register kar ke." Imlie said
"Toh insab ka kya fayada hua aur tum chhupi kaha thi" Aryan asked
"Hum Rathore Mansion mein hi the. Arpita Didi ke room mein. Unhe pehle nahi pata tha" Imlie replied.
"Tumhe mujhe nahi kaha" Aryan said she had informed Arpita not him.
"Tumhe sunna hai aage kya hua" Imlie said looking at Aryan. She had ignored his question.
Aryan nodded his head.
"Phir humne gunde koi kidnapper banke Malini ko call karne kaha ransom ke liye. Wo paise le k aayi aur uss gunde se kaha mujhe maarne aur apne saare kaale karnaame usne uss gunde ko bola. Humne sab record karke police station mein bheja. Abhi tak police ne usse arrest bhi kiya hoga." Imlie said.
"Par tumne hume bataya kyu nahi" Aryan asked again.
"Kyunki aap mere sirf boss hai, Sir" Imlie replied & left his room, walking away from him.
She was angry at him because of their last conversation. If Aryan wanted Imlie to be only his employee he'll get only his employee, Imlie thought. Tumko toh hum dekh lenge.
Next Morning, Imlie didn't talk to Aryan. Only when he directly asked her something she would give him a short reply.
AKT called her to meet. Imlie went to meet AKT. He apologised saying that Malini & Aryan had come between them. He asked her for a second chance. AKT then explained to her how Aryan had used her to get his revenge from him. He narrated the whole story.
Without saying anything, she went back to Rathore Mansion.
Aryan had heard from Arpita that Imlie had gone to visit AKT. Seeing her enter lost in her thought, he wanted to know what did that man said to her.
Luckily, Arpita asked her. Imlie replied AKT wanted a second chance.
Epilogue
Imlie was sure about one thing that she didn't want AKT in her life. She was a naive, over emotional fool when he had first entered her life. The torture she withstood for almost 2 years, she won't be able to go through it again.
She remembered a Doha she had read once:

Her mind was on the information that AKT gave her that Aryan believed AKT was the reason behind the death of his Arvind Jiju.
Aryan was using her for revenge. She remembered all the events starting from when she joined. No, he didn't Imlie thought automatically.
She had offered to help him against AKT, but he had declined. Whenever she had asked Aryan about his enmity against AKT. He always tried to keep her away.
AKT was a man who would reach to a wrong conclusion even when everything was in front of him. Like, he did in her case. It was AKT who always toyed with her feelings, never believed her. She always had to prove herself innocent. He humiliated her publicly several times. He even tried to defame her by publishing that obituary column. Only he didn't succeed.
The emptiness, feeling of being all alone in the world which she suffered because of that traumatic relationship. Aryan entered her life when she was a mess. She realised she didn't have that emptiness feeling after she shifted to Rathore Mansion. Someone was always with her, helping her move ahead be it Arpita or Aryan.
She remembered that night when Aryan took her to his home, she felt grateful.
Imlie was shifting to her new apartment today. And that feeling was once again creeping in her. She had lulled herself into false sense of security. She feared if she was left on her own devices, she would sink again deep in emptiness.
"Imlie" Aryan said entering in her room.
"Please talk to me" Aryan said.
"I'm talking, Sir"
"Damn it. Stop calling me, Sir. I'm sorry you're not just my employee, you're also my friend" Aryan hugged her tightly.
Imlie was surprised by this gesture. She had noticed his behaviour since last night he was behaving very differently.
"Dekha line pe aaye na. Maine kaha tha you're my friend."
Aryan knew that he wouldn't be able to leave her now.
"Imlie. Marry me" he asked her after a while still hugging her.
