Why the term "Comeback" rides high on Sexism & Misogyny

Nothing against Ranbir..i feel he is a sincere actor who has signed some super risky movies..kudos to him

But why is the term "COMEBACK" not being used at all here..no one is calling Shamshera or Bramastra as his comeback where as the gap between these and his last Sanju is more than 4 years!!

Agreed..may be thats not how the term should be used at all but then why did we have Veere Di Wedding (2018) being called as Kareena's comeback when her last release, Udta Punjab, was less than 2 years ago (2016)

Everytime an actress gets married or delivers a baby and she has 2 years gap in movies..they start calling it comeback..but an actor can get married and have 4 years gap but this term will not be used for him..

This isn't true. Aamir's comeback was from Ghajini, which was covered as his comeback.

It's not specifically made to look like a female star is making a comeback; it's just maybe they aren't having info that they are doing movies after marriage or after having a baby.

Shamshera was supposed to release in 2020 .Pandemic delayed it..Same for Brahmastra..Ranbir has been working non stop since 2018...hence not termed a comeback lol

I think in Bollywood the term perhaps gets associated with women more. But globally comebacks are associated with anyone who went through a retirement/career lull and then came back with a bang.

It is used frequently in sports for teams who had bad games and cameback or revived careers or players who were dropped or injured and came back.

Comeback is being used for men like Louis CK and Chris Brown who got canceled for legitimate reasons and are staging a comeback. Iron Man is credited as RDJ's big comeback after years of being blacklisted for drug abuse.

In order to come back. One has to leave. He’s been shoved down our throats via Alia between Sanju and Bramastra. I hope his next two movies flop and he goes away for another 4 years
