Why akshay kumar had a dig at method acting?

Its because of his philosophy come to shoot on time and finish by 5 has led to disaster of his lifetime chance of playing a big character like samrat phritviraj. Had he given proper dedication to the role and hired himself a coach to play such historical character roles, maybe he wouldn't have go the negativity he is currently getting now, even if the movie turned out to be flawed, at least he would of been more appreciated for trying to attempt such role with proper dedication and preparation.

Director also did not do justice to the movie by having it 115 minutes runtime which missed out important bits of such a big historical ruler. No one is telling him to become method actor as he doesn't doesn't follow one film a year policy but when you play a big role at least give time and effort than just coming to the sets, having 1 hand back and mouthing dialogues without any conviction and end up looking and sounding akshay kumar than a great ruler lol. What a wasted opportunity, hence why big reputed directors like bhansali don't take him in their movies as he will spoil it by completing it in 30 days or 40s, rushing lol.

Akki is obsessed with making money only, it's the investor's mistake to take him on projects that require 2-3 years more or less.

Akshay is the king of the most difficult acting genre. Comedy

For me action is akshay's forte and comedy he is good at doing physical type comedy but when it comes to character comedy as well as physical comedy, he is nowhere near close to Govinda. In hadh kar di Apne I don't think akki could do that variation of characters in one scene, Govinda bhai doing method acting hehe

He did good movies like airlift but the role he played could of been done by anyone as movie was focused more on the story than acting, where PRC is focused both on the story and acting.

Ranveer would’ve suited the best for the titular role in Prithiviraj ! Akshay was never going to get it right regardless of how many years of work he put into it. He is a smart man and he knew it, that’s why 40 days ke andar nipat liya and moved on to the next project.
