Why is modern bahu always the house breaker?

Anuj presents an idea of a separate home for Ankush, Barkha and their family because they have just returned from US and have a different lifestyle. This after one incident and Anupama should Not have to deal with sticky situations.

In this case Anuj will be lauded for his caring ways and problem solving.

Well, a bahu requesting something similar would be treated as a housebreaker. Ironical, but true.

Cut to the scene where Ankush, Barkha and her brother are arguing and Ankush blames Barkha for him not being able to stay with his parents and her straining her relations with her mayka.

When her brother asks her to directly speak to Anuj, she expresses her still being an outsider who will have to approach only through her husband.

Hence, it can safely be concluded that Barkha has never been handled sensitively or regarded or has always been made to feel like an outsider.

Anyway, I have a problem with the portrayal of Ankush's family anyway.

PS: Anuj says to Anupama, "Tumhe bura lagega but maine kuch socha hain, main boku?" 🙄 🤨.

Why? Na bolegi toh nahin bologe?
