Hopefully, yes. He's the only star who the classes and masses seem to be taking to.
BW kaho ya south industries, superstars' era is over. The current era is directors' era. Janta lap up whatever crap those directors throw at them.
For the actors, the term should be, the seasonal apples of janta's eye, not superstar.
Exactly!! I read the same things about Tiger few years back on this forum and see what happened with him.
Films of "superstars" can FAIL sometimes. But it doesn't change their credibility and they are not written off.
For e.g. Ayushman Khurana. His last few films have failed but his credibility isn't gone. So he is a superstar in his own right.👍🏼
To achieve Superstar status like that .... Kartik needs at least 3-4 more films like BB2. After that, his stardom will be solidified. 👍🏼

Ayushmaan....I am not so sure I feel his peak was too brief, Ranveer would be a better example here IMO

His overall journey has been remarkable. Ever since he did that monologue in PKP series, I knew he’d go far. It’s been a very very long time since a complete outsider has seen this level of success.
I would still rank Ranveer and Ranbir above him. But Kartik is certainly better than the likes of Arjun, Varun, Aditya, Sid etc.
I watched Dhamaka after I watched BB2 and I felt his performance was way more natural & impressive than anything in the filmography of the above mentioned young actors (not including RS, RK). Alot of ppl will be seen seething like anything if Dharma's next JJJ underperforms especially in comparison to BB2 😆
Like its said how Kartik plays his cards from here on will be the deciding factor coz bullied cornered outsider narrative surely gives him an edge over all his contemporaries and IMO he should totally capitalise on it.
I simply cannot bring myself to watch his movies. His dialog delivery, his hair, I don’t what it is. But glad he is doing well for himself. The more people successful, the better it is for the world!

Ditto. There’s just something about him that I can’t warm up to. Now that you mention it, I think it’s hair and the fact that he doesn’t have much shoulders. I also can’t seem to forget that one time when he was living off the fame of his Dheeme Dheeme hook move, and tried to show Hrithik how it’s done. HR handed his ass back on a platter. This is unforgivable in my books. I shall never forget.
On the brighter side of life, he has a very nice and manly voice. I found that out while watching Bhool Bhulaiya 2. Too bad, that still won’t earn my forgiveness. 😆

Now that is what I call blasphemy. 😆
Now let’s both watch the blasphemy one more time. 😆
