It’s a shame the way Nupur Sharma is being prosecuted for her words in a country that advocates Freedom of Speech and let’s worst things slide by under that garb. I didn’t know who this person was until this thing came by and she doesn’t seem like someone that I will agree with, but I will fight for her right to speech nevertheless! Where are all the so called liberals and why are they not fighting for her?

I agree. What happened to the concept of intellectual debate and questioning. If people don't have the right to express their opinions than what's the point of striving for a free and democratic society.

Ahh, so Muslims are not robots that practice religion exactly the same way, and instead are human beings who practice their religion with varying degrees like all other human beings. Ok, thanks for letting us know.

I'm not surprised to read that. In fact, in my opinion any Indian film celebrity who claims to be Muslim behaves least of all like a Muslim. Hosting Iftar and Eid parties doesn't make one a Muslim. Especially, if you're consuming alcohol.

I respect all religions because that's the upbringing I've had. My mother has taught me to respect everyone as an individual, and as a human. However, claiming to be a Muslim and exhibiting no trait of one is a problematic practice, in my opinion.

P.S. Islam does have guidelines and as Muslims, we are to abide by them. There's no problem in that.
