What Cancer did Sonali Bendre have?

I have only ever read them calling it Metastatic cancer..but that is not what the cancer is..metastatic cancer could be any cancer which has spread.

Having lost my mother to metastatic melanoma, I remember giving her an example of sonali as a ray of hope that one can beat a metastatic cancer and I remember her asking me then too which cancer she has..and I had no answer..i also searched for many interviews where she talked extensively about her cancer journey, the stage, survival etc but not one mention of the most basic information..what cancer was it?

I guess hers is probably the only case where we still do not know what cancer it was..out of all the celebs who have battled this disease out there

If anyone knows, please share it. Just because all this feels very personal to me ever since I have lost someone so dear to me because of this horrible disease

I remember reading somewhere it was breast cancer. As for metastatic part, it also depends where and how much it has spread. If the lymph nodes are involved or not. She def went through extensive chemo for a year or more, and is probably on maintenance therapy right now. Metastatic breast cancer also has many different types, metastatic cancer is not always a death sentence any more.

I am sorry to hear about your mom, metastatic melanoma is much more aggressive.

I have read that Sonali had stage 4 endometrial / uterine cancer. I think she talked about it in Vogue but it’s behind a pay wall. Anyone subscribe and can check?

I am so sorry for your profound loss. Losing a parent is brutal, and while the pain of the loss never goes away, in its own way it will get easier with time.

I once read about her that she used have persistent body pains and was ignoring that for a long time that later came out to be a cancer.

If I'm remember right it was said that they couldn't locate the site of primary malignancy. It was said that it was metastasis from unknown primary.

*Very sorry to hear about your mother. Nothing or nobody can ever fill the void that is left in your life. As time passes by one gets used to living with that huge void.
