I strongly feel that Manjari is keeping something huge from Abhi, as is Harsh. Harsh is doing it to protect his son. I don't know what it is, but the day that comes out, Akshu will be the only person in the entire world that Abhi can trust. And, he will have flashbacks of this track & how badly he treated her due to Manjari's lies. The way that the makers are building this up - it is not to be brushed under the rug this time. They definitely have a bigger picture in mind I think!

Manjari was the surrogate for Dr. Avni Rathod and Harshvardhan and then later kills Avni and marries Harshvardhan (firewings_diyas' theory)

Mahima could not stand the power Dr. Avni had in Birka Hospital and home, so she creates a MU so bad that they had to divorce.
Then Mahima offers up the sickly Manjari as second wife, docile and caring for infant Abhi knowing Manjari will not threaten her own power.

Dr. Avni is dead to the birlas but she’s around somewhere maybe in Georgia in my neighborhood.

At the time Dr. Avni separates she happens to be carrying Neel. Something happened and Neel was left in ashram and Avni wrote a note to Manjari asking her to adopt Neel.

Neel and Abhi are biological brothers.
