Since Neil will marry aarohi and akshu to will support Neil in this, i bet we are going to see abhi vs akshu in this too. Maybe the dynamics will be like akshu Neil on one side and abhi manjari

This track is going to be such a ride for ABHIMANYU.. he just can't deal with the situation now with anger! 2. But I so hated him being such a "meri ma is a devi"! He was trying to stop Neil from questioning Manju so many times! Manju maybe gave him love but Neil should have gotten respect of being the son of the house!

Scenario 1: Manjari would have revealed the truth about Neil’s identity as soon as she knew about it. At the time, Abhi and all the Birlas kids would have been too young to understand anything. Who’s to say that harsh wouldn’t just have beaten her up for accusing him of EMA and would not have thrown her out of the Birla house like he tried to do today? Would harsh have accepted neil? Result would have been- no support from anyone. Broken marriage. Most likely, harsh would have found a way to take abhi away from her. By any chance if she got abhi, then he would not have had the Birla background advantage, no mentor in form of tauji, no family. Abhi would have suffered most here along with Manjari due to harsh’s EMA.

Scenario 2: Manjari revealed the truth once abhi and neil were of age to understand and face the bitter reality. She could have done this, but I guess over the years everyone/ everything was settled well and she didn’t want to rile any feathers by bringing this up again.

Result would have been similar to the situation that they have on hand today. Neil would be hurt the most and everyone else too will be upset with harsh and herself for keeping a secret as big hidden from the whole family.

Manjari’s decision: whichever scenario Manjari would have chosen, she was always going to hurt someone or the other. So she chose herself, her marriage, her abhi and her family. Yes that makes her selfish but that makes her human too. But she was not heartless. She felt bad for the baby that got stuck in this mess of EMA with no fault of his. She was visiting the baby at anath ashram because she felt sympathy for him. She wanted to give love to that baby but it was not her decision to adopt neil, abhi did that and she went along with it and she did the one thing that she could do. She gave him love and care and tried to be the mother that he never had. But she could not give him family name or status.

Let’s not forget that Manjari herself is a victim of abuse. If she had the strength in her, she could have stood up for herself and all the injustices done to her by harsh. When she cannot even fight for herself, how can we expect her to stand up for Neil’s rights? Even then, she has time and again protected neil from Harsh’s anger and violence. Be it today when harsh tried beating neil with belt or be it that day when harsh tried sending neil off to sitapur for some project and Manjari called abhi under some pretext to prevent that from happening. She is kaand mata, she is wrong, but at the end of the day, she is still better than HAM and arohi for me.

Again, this is not me justifying her actions (don’t come after me with 🧹)- I am with agreeing with everyone that she is wrong here. But what I am just trying to see things from her POV as well.

Manjari and neil: Manjari may have done right by the baby that was abandoned by his parents and given him love and all but she did wrong by Neil by denying him family name, fathers name and rights.

Manjari and akshara: whoa!!! I don’t even know where to start. The one person that Manjari should be blaming for this mess (apart from herself) is Harsh. But she won’t do that. She ignores his unfaithfulness, his EMA, his pig like behavior to his son neil, his disrespect for his wife and goes and blames Akshara. And for what, for not keeping a secret?!!! Are you kidding me Manjari?? First of all, it’s not akshu’s secret to keep. If you are bold enough to do a kaand and be smart enough to know how to keep your own secrets from leaking. Secondly, you still think that this secret could have been contained once the report was processed? Let’s say the report could have landed in the hands of mahima or harsh or abhi, would you have blamed them too like you are blaming poor akshara who has absolutely nothing to do it with this whole thing to begin with??? Thirdly, you are angry at akshara because she ousted your secret but you are not hurt for the hurt neil is in?!

Points well made regarding Manjari. She could not answer Neil’s questions because she cannot face the bitter truth of what her marriage is. It's like she knows but to say it out loud is like publicly confirming what she has known for years and making it true. Once it is said out loud there is no going back. Also, maybe a part of her cannot explain this to her sons because she views them as children even though they are both grown men now. Abhimanyu has witnessed all this since childhood and had to grow up faster because of it.

I had also thought that Manjari never had any real support in the house. Anand may have help hide his brother’s transgression when it was happening and told him to end it sooner. Mahima would probably have told Manjari to make sure the kid (Neil) got adopted to another good family and not to worry about all of this or maybe she would have helped take him in so it wouldn't come back as a surprise to the family. It really would have depended on the mind set of Mahima during that time period.

And that is the real truth that none of the elders want to face or have a discussion about especially in front of their kids. Would any of them really have supported one another?

If you ask the question now of course they would have said yes. But that is because the secret is out in the open.

It is through this crisis they are experiencing now that maybe the family will start acting like a family.

What do you guys think abhis age is? If adoption papers with June 1989 is Neil's , he is 32 soon to be 33! Orphanage uncle said abhi carried Neil on lap! So how old is abhi? Also are we going to get a birthday party for Neil as its currently June!! I miss naach gana!
