Part 3
Ram and Priya⌠the two strangers, who originally got married for the sake of their siblings, were now in Ramâs office, engaged in a much heated make-out session. Their love and need for each other knew no bounds. The more they got a taste of each other, the more they craved for it. They say love fades away from a marriage once it starts getting old. But three years down the line and their love seemed to be only increasing with each passing day, and, every passing moment. Their crackling chemistry was a treat to the sore eyes of all those around them, especially the ones who loved to see them together. True, they never showed any extravagant gestures of love for each other in front of their families and friends, but love needs no grand gestures to be visible to the naked eyes of all those who recognise true love. Just a look at these two and anyone could spell out the love laden in their eyes for each other. It was the same love that they were now expressing through their frantic but love filled motions of hands and mouth, entangled together trying to get the most of physical comfort they provided each other. Time and space turned into unknown entities for them as they became oblivious to the world around them the minute their hands snaked around each otherâs torso and their lips entangled in a deep kiss.
Ram would have willingly carried forward their shenanigans to reach the point of pleasurable culmination, if it were not for him feeling Priyaâs frantic movements getting slower by the second⌠he could feel her body falling limp in his arms as her weakness started to show its visible signs once again.
Ram broke their kiss and pulled away from a protesting Priya the moment he felt her struggling to keep pace and getting breathless. Priya protested a little, knowing quite well that her husband wanted to have a deeper taste of her⌠and to be honest, she too wanted to feel him touch her soul once again right at that moment, not caring a dime about them still being in his office. But to Ram, it was Priya and her well-being that mattered more than his building desires and raging testosterone. So he sat there holding her close to him with his forehead touching hers as he tried to get his breathing back to normal before he spoke,
âI am sorry, love! I lost my control.â
âMaybe I wanted you to lose control, Ram?â She said as she got closer and started peppering his neck with soft kisses as her hand continued to caress his body.
Ram chuckled listening to his wife⌠she sure did want to have him lose control. Off-late he had noticed his wife being âmore active and desirousâ in their bedroom. She even woke him up in the middle of the night a week ago with her gentle caresses, only to request from him to make love to her once again, even though they already had their fair share of coitus that night before they went to sleep. But who was he to deny his beautiful wife another round of love-making because he, for sure, could never have enough of her. And so he flipped her over and made sweet love to her. Today, too, it seems she wanted him to make love to her. And, indeed, he wanted it too. But, he couldnât do it⌠not now⌠for two reasons: a) they were still in office. And even though he had the blinds pulled down and locked the door with his mobile the second his lips touched hers, he still didnât want anyone to walk in on them or to interrupt them mid-way, and, more importantly, b) Priya wasnât feeling well and he was no pervert to âtake advantageâ of his sick wife. He knew she would give into his advances, if he tried for it. He also knew she wanted him as much as he her in that moment. But for him, at that moment, what was more important was to take her home and get her to rest and then maybe if she felt alright by night, he could give her what she wanted from him and take what he wanted from her at that moment. And that is exactly what he told Priya with a little smirk, making Priya to giggle a bit as she said, âYou are incorrigible, Mr. Kapoor!â
âWell, so are you Mrs. Kapoor⌠even more than me these days!â
To say she blushed a crimson shade of red would be an understatement to the red hue that covered her cheeks. Ram looked at her with a keen amusementâŚ. Three years of them being married, and, she still blushed like a new bride. If it were for him, he would have teased her a little more, reminding her of exactly HOW incorrigible she had become. But he decided to cut her some slack for the day, just because she was sick. So he changed the topic and asked her if they should head home, to which Priya sighed and nodded her head.
The thought of sitting in the car for over an hour, excluding the unpredictable time that could be added to it by the Mumbai traffic, was enough to make her feel her shoulders slouching as her exhaustion returned to her body with an electric speed. Ram must have understood from her facial expressions the thoughts running in her head, for he held out his hand to help her get up from the couch and taking her bag from her hands, as he said,
âDonât want to sit in the car for too long?â
âI donât know, Ram. I just feel too tired to travel.â
âNo problem, love. You can keep a pillow behind your back and take a nap. I promise to drive smoothly. Or I can call the driver and we can both sit in the back and you can sleep keeping your head in my lap. Whatever you want is what weâll do.â
âNo! No! Donât call the driver. He must be back home with his family. Letâs not disturb him. Also, this is our time. I donât want a third person to interrupt our time together.â
Ram chuckled hearing her. âOkay then, my lady, Iâll be glad to be your chauffeur in addition to being your shauharâ.
Soon the two walked out of the office and made their way to the car. Priyaâs exhaustion was definitely taking a toll on her, for, she slept within five minutes of their hour long ride to home. Usually they would go home listening to their favourite music and singing along with it. But today, seeing her sleep so peacefully, he simply turned the music to Mozartâs music pieces to give her a calming sound to sleep amidst the sound of Mumbai traffic.
Thanks to the traffic, an hourâs journey became one of two hours. But thankfully Priya slept through it unperturbed as Ram avoided to even blare the horn when he got annoyed at the slow-moving cars in front of theirs, just to avoid disturbing her sleep.
Once they reached home, Ram stopped the car and turned to look at his sleeping wife who didnât even notice the car had now stopped as she continued to be in her deep slumber. He, too, didnât have the heart to wake her up. He didnât say it to her but her paleness and her tired eyes were worrying him beyond his wits.
His wife was a ball of active swiftness. She wasnât the type of person who would get tired with just some workload. He had also heard her throw up in her office bathroom that afternoon, when he visited her office just to check up on her, after the morningâs breakdown and her admission of feeling dizzy in the shower. But he knew better to not badger her about it after the morning episode. So he simply moved out of her office without even waiting for her to come out of the bathroom. He wondered if she would tell him she was sick in the afternoon. But she never did. However, thankfully, she agreed for a weekâs break from work. Nonetheless, he felt it in his heart that she also needed to see the doctor. The question, however, was how? How could he convince her to go to the doctor when she was so adamant to prove to him that she was strong and not sick at all! He rubbed his forehead as he thought of some plausible way to make her see the doctor. But for now his task was to get her inside without waking her up.
He slowly got out of the car and moved to her side, opening her door and gently picking her up in his arms to carry her out of car and into the house. He was worried his motions would wake her up but his sick-looking wife was in a such a deep sleep that she didnât even notice she was being carried into the the house. She just snuggled closer to him and hid her face in his neck, getting comfortable as she usually did at nights, making Ram to chuckle slightly⌠his wife really knew how to find her way to him even in her deep sleep.
Ram took her to their room and made her sleep on her side of bed as he sat beside her to caress and kiss her forehead, praying in his heart for his Priya to get well soon again. He then went out of their room and down to kitchen to order Tarun to make them their dinner. He presumed she would be famished by the time she would get up and so he wanted to have dinner ready in their room before she got up. He wondered what she would like to eat, for, as far as he had noticed, her eating habits had weirdly changed in the last few days. She barely ate her food, just picked on it. But yes! She did relish the mutton biryani that Tarun made last week. Perhaps she would love to have it again, he thought. And so he ordered Tarun to make it for them. He loved Biryani and now she did too. Earlier, she would just crib about how it was âtoo oily, too unhealthyâ, but last week she relished it as if itâs the best dish in the whole wide world. Apparently, his wife now loved not just him but also the things he loved, like his favourite dish. Oh! How good was life!
He was in his own wonderland, thinking about his wife⌠too lost to even notice that his little brother was back home and now standing in front of him. It was only when Shubham cleared his throat a little too loudly to get his attention, that he snapped out of his reverie.
âShubham? When did you come?â
âBhai, I!? I came back when you were descending the stairs lost in your own La-la land, probably thinking about our Queen!â
âKya!? Uhm! Queen? What queen? I wasnât thinking about your queen⌠I was thinking about the London project.â
âOh! So you mean you grin like a love-sick puppy thinking about your overseas construction projects just the way you do when you think or talk about bhabhi?â
Ram, slightly tapped the back of Shubhamâs head, âKuch zyada ni bolne laga hai tu?â
âMain toh sirf bol raha hu, bhai! Aap toh shar-e-aam Apni shirt par apni Queen ka stamp le kar ghoom rahe Ho!â, said Shubham pointing with his eyes towards his shirt.
Ram looked down to see what was on his shirt but found it to be perfectly clean, making him look back at Shubham with a confused look on his face.
Shubham understood his brotherâs confusion and so he said with a playful smirk adoring his face, âArey bhai! Go there and look in the corridor mirror, youâll see what I am saying.â
Ram quickly went to the mirror and indeed there it was⌠the lipstick stains on his neck and shirtâs collar which his wife must have given him whilst she peppered his nape with kisses back in his office during their raunchy makeout session. A beautiful smile adorned his face as he drifted back to his wife and how these days she left no chance to shower her immense love on him. She never really took the first step forward when it came to romantic advancements. But these days, she seemed to be clinging more to him. Not that he was complaining! He loved it, in fact. But he wondered what really changed that was making her give into her feelings so blatantly. Nonetheless, he was enjoying getting so much love from his wife. The smile on his face widened as he went deeper and deeper into the trail of thoughts that included his beautiful glowing wife.
Oh yes! She was glowing. Despite all her weakness and sickness, her face had a very charming glow to it that he found very unique and was loving so much. Perhaps thatâs the look a woman has on her face when she is happy, loved and accomplished. He just prayed in his heart for her happiness to stay safe from all evil eyes. He really loved her⌠and he would make sure that no harm ever reaches her, which is why he had to make sure she somehow agrees to see the doctor for the sake of her health.
Shubham was silently seeing his brother checking out his shirt first, realising his little brother was right and then again getting lost in his thoughts, probably of his dearest sister-in-law. And why not? She had really changed his brotherâs life and made it a bed of roses by giving him all the love he deserved⌠the love of family that Shubham regretted not giving his brother before Priya came into their lives and their home.
Shubham had been under his motherâs influence all his life and had hated his brother for most of his life, following his momâs words about Ram being his STEP-BROTHER and not brother, even though Ram did everything in his power to make a place in their life as their real family. It was only when his sister-in-law came into their lives, that she made him see the light of the day and realise how wrong he was in treating his brother like a step-sibling. And so he changed his ways, stopped getting infected by his mother and auntâs venom against his brother and silently started following his brother and sister-in-law in all their endeavours. He called his bhabhi âQueenâ⌠because she literally was the queen of his brotherâs life, of his life and of Kapoor Mansion and Kapoor Empire. She was the guiding light they searched for all their life and finally got it the day she entered Kapoor Mansion. He just hoped and prayed in his heart that his brother and sister-in-law stay happy and blessed with their live blossoming tenfolds with each passing day. He loved seeing them being so deep in love.
He smiled at the thought and then thought to get the best out of the situation he had his brother stuck in by teasing his brother a little more before he lets him off his teasing leash. He knew his brother must be wanting to get back to his sick sister-in-law⌠yup! He too had noticed how sick she looked and had even talked about it to his brother who had asked him not to pester Priya about it because she was apparently being too sensitive about it. So he went forward to where his brother wasâ in the corridor, in front of the mirrorâ and shouted near his ears, âBhaiâŚâ
Ram, broke out of his reverie, âHuh! Huh! Kya hua?â
âNothing much! You probably saw in the mirror what I was talking about and got lost in Bhabhiâs thoughts again!â
âAisa Kuch ni hai⌠aur yeh woh ni hai Joh tu soch raha hai!â
âOh really! Fir yeh kya hai?â
âYeh woh⌠Adi⌠OfficeâŚâ
Shubham was finding it very amusing to see his affluent brother fumble in front of him just to hide his embarrassment at being caught with the marks of his lady love adoring his body and clothes. And it was understandable, given that they always looked impeccable and kept their love life a secret from the outer world. So to be caught off-guard with love-marks must have been new and embarrassing to him. But, it wasnât also everyday that you would find Ram Kapoor, industrialist from Bandra, caught in situations like these. So, keeping up his charade, he said, âHawww! Bhai, donât tell me you have such varied preferences in life. Donât tell me you have a Romantic relationship with Adi Bhai. Bromance is just a term to say that you have a rock-solid friendship, iska Matlab yeh Nai k aap ab unke saath Sach mein romance karein. That too when you are presumably straight and have such a beautiful wife. And I didnât know Adi bhai wears pink lipstick like bhabhiâ
Ram again tapped his head, âZayada Mat bol tu⌠Haan toh⌠hai yeh Priya k lipstick k marks. Toh kya? Biwi hai meri! Itâs normal!â
âHaan toh mene kab Kaha itâs not normal? You are the one trying to prove me wrong! Come on bhai, three years into marriage and you are still embarrassed of all this? Kya hoga jab Priya bhabhi aur aapka baby hoga? Tab toh sabko pata chalna hi hai k aapki romantic life kitni badhiya Chal rahi hai⌠as good as bhabhiâs âRomance in Romeâ wallpaper. Dekha hai mene.â, Shubham said with an amusing smirk on his face.
âShut up Shubhu! Aisa Kuch ni hai.â
âKitna chupaoge bhaiâŚâ
âKon kisse kya chupa raha hai?â An annoying voice came from the other end of the corridor and there she was, the most annoying creature of the houseâ Nitu Maami. God, she really did have to come to poke her nose, thought Shubham.
But he knew he had to hide Ram and his stained shirt from the prying eyes of his Maami. So he quickly stood in front of Ram, covering him from her view partially from the side on which his shirt was stained.
âKuch Nai Maami! Ram bhai aur main na aapko chaar dham yatra pe bhejne ka plan bana rahe the but we wanted it to be a surprise for you. Idea mera tha but bhai toh bhai hai⌠he said he will make all the arrangements. Mujhe stress na Ho Isliye yeh mujhse chupa rahe hai sara plan aur expenses. But I want to make sure you have a good trip. So I thought I should ask him about it to help him plan the trip for you. Mom toh London gayi hai for four months⌠aap bore Ho rahe honge yahan Waise bhi. So I was asking bhai to not hide the plan from me because I was planning to make sure that your trip is also of four months or more.â
âKya char dham yatra? Ram yeh Kya baat hui? I am not that old to go on pilgrimage.â
Before Ram could have said anything, Shubham took over once again, âArey Maami, Acha hai na⌠trip ki trip Ho jani aapki aur lage haath thode paap bhi dhul jayenge Aapke. Toh bhai, chalein? Letâs go⌠we will discuss the plan in your study.â
And with that Shubham wrapped his arms around Ramâs shoulder deftly so as to hide the shirt and stains on Ramâs shirt as he led Ram away from Maami. Phew! Mission Rescue Ram successful!
As soon as they were a little away from Maamiâs sight, Shubham turned to see what she was doing⌠and indeed he saw her stomping her foot with a childish thud and retreating back to her room and closing the door a little too loudly. God bless the doors of Kapoor Mansion, thought Shubham.
The minute Maami went into room, he turned to Ram. He pulled out his handkerchief and wiped the stains from Ramâs neck and helped him button his shirt to hide the stain marks on his shirt and said,
âChalo bhai! Aaj k liye Ho gayi aapki kafi leg pulling. I know bhabhi is sick and you must be eager to go back to her. Take care of her. I love you both. Iâll head out in a while to my friendâs place and will be back home late so donât wait for me for dinner. Good night, bro!â
Ram smiled and hugged Shubham. His brother was a changed man nowâŚ. A more loving and caring family man. All thanks to His beautiful wife, Priya. He broke the hug and cupped Shubhamâs face.
âThank you. Ja⌠have fun. And donât worry about your queen, Iâve got her.â
Shubham smiled, knowing well that his brother really got thisâŚ. That he will take care of his Queen and all of them always and without them having to voice a single word. âI know you do. Take care of her and yourself bhai. See you later.â And with that Shubham headed out as Ram looked over at the retreating figure of his now mature baby brother.
As soon as Shubham was out of his sight, Ram turned and went to the kitchen to order Tarun for their Biryani before going back to his room to his wife.
