Agreed. I find it quite disturbing when India bans or censors content for "hurting religious sentiments." I even go as far as supporting the likes of Charlie Hebdo in their parody and satire. If someone's faith is weak enough to be shaken by the figment of someone's imagination or their sense of humor - then perhaps they need to strengthen their faith rather than element those that critique it.

Having said that I don't think it's a case of someone's faith being shaken by humour/satire. It's more an opportunity for a show of strength as in don't mess with us unless...😈
As someone living in Mumbai, I know Shiv Sena used to do pretty much the same thing without going so far as to beheading people lol. They used every opportunity to indulge in strategic violence as a show of strength.
Truth be told it does work. That's why you can have PK where someone dressed up as Lord Shiva is fooling around in toilets and crawling under chairs but you can NEVER see an equivalent movie about Islam even in Phaasist Mudi's India without the makers getting their Sar tan se judaa...😲
