It's not hindu phobia, it's common sense. Anyone has the right to make movies. But making movies with muslims as villains, and then being shocked that muslim countries are upset. Did you think they would be gladly screening negative representations of Muslim characters in these countries? 😂

Now this is different than a country making a film criticizing its own majority religion. Such as PK in India, Khuda Ke Liye and Bol in Pakistan, or the many movies criticizing chritistianity in the West.

So no movies should show Muslims as villains? 🤔 Is that an argument?

It's not Hinduphobia, but it's not as simple or harmless as common sense, either.

Muslim invaders did a lot of damage to the Indian subcontinent. That's a fact. Most reasonable people won't hold present day Muslims responsible for what happened centuries ago, but refusing to even let the population watch the story is being thin-skinned and hypocritical at best and tantamount to supporting the atrocities at worst.

Think if Schindler's List were to be banned in Germany or Twelve Years a Slave in the United States.

Y Different ? Y Muslim countries upset ? when shown truth . No tolerance , not cool , liberal like others .

It’s not common sense , it’s Hindu phobia. It’s truth . showing the truth n facts . Every historical film can’t distort history n glorify , sympathise, romantice Muslim invaders know .

It's not Hindu phobia because Hindus are not very significant to most Arab nations. India as a whole is not important to them. They're rich and do their business elsewhere. The only Hindus in those countries come there as temp workers. What's there to be phobic about?

What they are is hypocritical because they are quick to point out other people's mistakes and paint themselves as victims.

Victim playing is their middle name. Whenever something goes wrong, it's ALWAYS the fault of 'Jewish conspiracy against Islam/Muslims'. 😆

You can talk about Muslim invaders all you want and show it in India. Muslim countries have a choice to watch those negative representations, don't they? Neither are these movies close to the sensitive depictions such as Shindler's List.

Right now in the US, they're actively working on showing positive representations for communities that have traditionally been shown in negative light. Hence Netflix's shows have lots of Muslim characters; Marvel is working on a Pakistani-American female superhero. Because the US realizes that the media is powerful. You can use it as a tool to spread harmony; or you can use it as a tool to spread divisive politics that pit communities against each other, and create further hatred.
