What they are is hypocritical because they are quick to point out other people's mistakes and paint themselves as victims.

Right now in the US, they're actively working on showing positive representations for communities that have traditionally been shown in negative light. Hence Netflix's shows have lots of Muslim characters; Marvel is working on a Pakistani-American female superhero. Because the US realizes that the media is powerful. You can use it as a tool to spread harmony; or you can use it as a tool to spread divisive politics that pit communities against each other, and create further hatred.

So the solution is to erase history? How would Muslim countries like it if a movie showing Muslims as victims is banned in India?

Muslim invaders committed atrocities. Being in denial won't change facts.

They don't care about Hindus. That's a fact. They will ban any movies which show Muslims in a bad light.

They don't have a choice to watch. That's the point of a ban.

Positive representations are good. But it has gotten to this ludicrous point that any criticism of any Muslim or Islamic practices is now considered a no-no. Why? Muslims, like Christians and Hindus, have done plenty over the course of history worthy of criticism. If Hindus and Christians can take it, so can Muslims.

Well, has India released an international film made outside India that shows Hindus as villains?
like I said, countries can criticize their own majority region like India has done with PK and Kai Po Che, Pakistan has also done it with Khuda Ke Aliya (showing extremist Muslims and what they do). But the difference is releasing someone else's film.

The difference between self reflection vs being criticized by someone else

How do you compute that?

😆

They really don't care about Hindus or India. That ain't phobia. That's indifference. Phobia takes caring. They don't care.
