Side effects of watching waaay too many sitcoms , the general rule is to establish an amazing character quirk and then after a while introduce a character with a similar quirk to make the character realise his/her stupid behaviour or gets egged on by the new character and bonds with them and there will be a scene where both of them are doing the same thing...
