I cannot agree abt Kajol's personality...I have read a lot of this nonsense without any proof especially from fans of other actresses but once one of my friends waited 3 hrs after some event where Kajol was speaking and when she came out she passed by her but came back to sign her autograph book after she heard her shouting....

Infact even Rani is also known to be a sweetheart....yes her roundtable was really disheartening and problematic but irl she's actually a sweet person....

yeah it would be better if these actors had a better head on their shoulders but most of the time we forget these are not the perfect creatures we expect them to be.

HearMeRoar answered already with the perfect reply, but it takes two people to have an affair. Both parties, the man and the woman, are in the wrong. I have not seen anyone here claim that Govinda or Adi are saints. That does not mean Rani is not at fault either.

People criticizing Rani for her looks, she was never a looker, always was the one who can act and was cute but never gorgeous like Aish or pretty like Preity but Rani was very talented and cute. I always liked Rani until she made statements about metoo, not a fan of her as a person after those statements about women who are victims saying they need to learn how to fight, how ignorant and privileged she sounded. But I would never criticize her for marriage with Adi, they loved each other, his other wife knew about the affair since the whole world knew about it, never would blame another women for breaking a marriage, she was single. Blame the men, he should’ve divorced first, nobody wants to stay in unhappy marriage.

I am not blaming rani for breaking payal’s marriage but for betraying her as a friend. And rani is pretty too, it’s just that next to all these diva’s she looks average

I always thought Rani was pretty and never understood the narrative that she was plain or lesser. Especially after she adopted her smoky eyes makeup in Chalte Chalte which really magnified her looks. But even in a movie like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, she clearly has to have the looks to be able to pull off the role of popular beautiful girl who every guy wants.

The funny thing though is that in that same #MeToo conversation, Rani herself says that because of her looks and voice no man has ever harassed her as in fact they ran away from her.

At the end of the day only two people know what their marriage is really like. It's only those 2 people and no one else, not even the outsider like Rani. I have no idea what the relationship between Adi and Payal was like, if they were in a fake relationship or not, but I heard they were childhood sweethearts. Going by my limited knowledge of the situation, my sympathies lie with Payal. I agree that Adi is at fault for not leaving the marriage if he wasn't happy but Rani is just as much to blame for stepping in knowing another woman's heart and home were likely to be broken. Any woman with integrity would not allow herself to break up someone else's marriage. And I believe this is just as true if you flip the genders. I would judge a man for having an affair with a married woman just as much.
