Everyone was top notch and Tabu..does she ever fail at shining the brighest..? so glad to see her in literally the best phase of her career in her 40s..killing it and breaking the norms..she is the soul and backbone of the movie..so glad to see her getting full fledged roles..i thought she may not have enough to do here like Golmaal 4 but oh boy..those who have seen the movie know what I am saying..

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 First Day Early Estimate

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has grossed a very good 14 crore nett on day one as the film does excellent business across multiplexes in India. There will be a chance of a higher number but that will depend where the single screen and smaller centre numbers land up in the morning. The 15 crore nett mark is an outside possibility. Overall its a great result for the film and its sets it up on to the path to becoming a HIT film.

The film is a huge boost to the film industry and shows that good numbers can come on opening day even if the film does not have huge scale and is not a huge budget film. But yes it does have to have youth and mass appeal as well as a wide reach which this film had.

The opening numbers are also easily the highest for a Kartik Aaryan film as it easily beat Love Aaj Kal which was a holiday release. Actually it was not a holiday but Valentines Day which works pretty much like a holiday especially for a romantic film. Not only the numbers but the footfalls of this film will be higher than Love Aaj Kal making it the biggest Kartik Aaryan film from all angles. The ticket rates are higher today but actual average consumption is coming at pretty much the same rate as Love Aaj Kal.

The opening is the second best to Sooryavanshi if we take original Hindi content and Sooryavanshi was a national holiday release. The early numbers are solid across the board and it remains to seen where the mass pockets land in the morning and does the final number go to the 15 crore nett mark. After many awful Fridays its turned out to be a very good one this week and hopefully this trend continues and with strong advances for tomorrow there should be good growth for the film from this very good opening number.

The early circuit numbers are looking very good as Rajasthan is 78 lakhs (Gangubai Kathiawadi was 49 lakhs), CI is 57 lakhs (Gangubai Kathiawadi was 37 lakh). The film is way ahead of Gangubai Kathiawadi in these pockets but the gaps if any will be less in Mumbai city / Maharashtra and South

The other release of the week Dhaakad is a total disaster as collections will be in the 50 lakh nett range. It may cross 50 lakhs nett but not by much.
