Agnihotri most definitely is trying to get publicity.

Secularism is not the only ism on my mind. Age has brought cynicism as well.

He is on the victim's side. It's no different than attacking a victim's lawyer. How much money he is making should not be relevant..... his case should be.

Also, more importantly, blaming him detracts from the underlying issue- the evil that was perpetrated on the victims, and the hypocrisy and the shameful behavior on the part of the political parties blaming him. That's what needs to be called out.

Its absurd to blame a movie maker for an act of terror and hate committed by terrorists, why is there a need to reason or justify terrorism in India?

So, You make a movie and they killed people, killing people is what they are supposed to do so you should stop making movies, don't enrage terrorists VA can be good or bad, he can be a greedy person who used tragedy to earn money but let's not cover for terrorists by blaming him for their hatred

A movie was never going to help anyone, a movie can tell you their story...2 to 3 million people left their homes, if the environment was good, they wouldn't have left in first place, to send them back without any preparation is nothing but setting them up for one more genocide...

For one, there's a difference between victim's lawyer and victim himself. For another, set aside the fact the lawyer also works for a fee. Agnihotri is not advocating for the victims. He told their story and made himself money. It's allowed. Nothing shameful in it. Nothing saintly, either.

None of my posts blamed him for what crazy, violent terrorists did. In fact, I'm not *blaming* per se.

I see his bringing up this topic as trying to get the last rupee out of the audience. It's crass, but he's within his rights to be as crass as the rest of Bollywood.

Exactly this......after 26/11 happened....when whole India was in shock...Ram Gopal Verma after 3-4 days was touring the Taj and other sites planning to make a movie and earn money on the tragedy....He didn't claim to be a messiah or was put on a pedestal...He is a movie maker ...that is his profession and that is what he was doing...its all good until you put crores in ur pocket while claiming to be a messiah of sorts while the real victims are in the same position that they were in before.

Oi! :

For GODs sake Genocide is bad...not hinducide or muslimcide or chinecide But Genocide is the intentional destruction of people, with no regard for age, guilt or gender, is just senseless killing.

No one is trying to say bad things did not happen...they happen...ok I said it...s..t happens and it needs to be addressed in the proper medium and victims heard etc.. BUT what part of GENOcide do people do not

understand ?

What is really clear in all of this and I said it before are Mr. VA intentions, because someone who sets out to collect all the credit and all the money by making himself the center victim of an event that included many (does not matter if they are part of it but sure as heck it matters if they were not victimized), no one that does that has good intentions to share the earnings. You tell the story, therefore you reap the benefits? If we all agree that there are victims who's suffering is the crux or issue so vividly portrayed in his film and are in fact the cause of why so many went to see the film and contributed funds ...then should not the victims share in the profit too? Why is only he the sole beneficiary of their shared misery, I am pretty sure victims need more than words or pats on the back of "i feel so sorry for you" to get their lives together or to repair the damages, survival has a cost, including but not limited to medical care and therapy to the victims and their children.

Agniotri and people like him are always useless because they simply poke at an old wound, ripping open the crust that is slowly forming, they expose the gaping holes and make it bleed and hurt again BUT they offer no salve or solution...they just want to see the hemorrhage...Sorry I dislike people like this...a lot, they are almost as bad as the villains, sometimes worse because they victimize the suffering for a second time and if those victims had started to gain any dignity or strength, they are left destitute again...usually you do not get up from the battle ground a second time...
