My take on this scene.

She had taken his breath away the minute she entered the venue. Everything about her looked so perfect and his eyes never left her as she slowly walked towards him. He noticed how with every step towards him, her cheeks colored a shade deeper in the red he so loved. To know for a certain that this red was because of him, made him want to rush and take her then and there. But he knew all good things took time... He had waited for 27 years... he could wait some more too. As she came and stood by him her eyes firmly trained on the ground beneath her, his eyes devoured her and his arms flexed in anticipation to hold her close. The deep breaths she was gulping in told him what his eyes were doing to her.... yet he felt a sudden strange fear as she refused to meet his eyes... the nightmare he had for 27 years flashed in front of his eyes... wanting to confirm that she was truly there.... there for him... Softly he uttered her name and slowly her eyes lifted and met his. The depth of love, passion, devotion and adoration that her eyes held bowled him over. His lips broke out into a joyous smile as she blinked softly to assure him. He nodded slowly satisfied that this was all true as she lowered her gaze again.

Again a random musing... please don't mind...🙈
