Miss Universe was missing from the scene as she has to create that confusion of pregnancy etc. I just got by chance to see Imlie and watched episodes earlier ones and these days maybe just few minutes fast forward of story... No other serial... but when I began observing this channel and Dangal channel... found the sets, story line... almost everything too similar... Just cut and paste different actors and a story gets created.
The Hindi Film industry faces this problem of remake and Hindi Tele serials also face this problem of remake... the moment these writers actually begin penning.. they just cannot write a proper entertaining script. No wonders all the movies crashing and maybe in long run the serials too will crash too badly.
The freshness is missing, the approach is missing...
Abhi Narmada ko vamp hi banana tha... toh why show her too goody fist
Why should all become vamp and villain only to push story... Why cannot they introduce how Imlie fights external battle more then internal battle of SAAS etc.
Are women so dumb to only accept SAAS-BAHU serials and try to imagine similar happenings in their lives in this era... Why cannot they show a proper progressive story line with the amount of investments made in such serials.
Even Sundar whether he got job or not... all forgotten... No continuity in story line. Madhav's character too is very poor sketched.
Even making Aryan again a doubting guy will not really help...
Indeed. ITV makers need to give a serious thought to the kind of writing skills that they’re honing and promoting. I understand the setbacks that this show has faced with Manasvi’s sudden exit, but even that isn’t a good enough excuse for the bad plot development of late. Ooh, like minds! Except, I don’t want Aryan’s influence/involvement in Imlie’s growth right now. I want Imlie to do this all on her own. This should be an entirely Imlie thing. So that she can be thoroughly proud of her achievements and call them her own without any qualms, like she said she wanted at their reception. 🙂

The problem isn't itv writers are incapable to show good plots . We have actually seen how the first 100 episodes of arylie were. But the main problem is they have to run shows for a long time and for that they end up.compromising plots , logics and characters and also they have to cater to different set of audience. Till the time itv doesn't start finite shows we will have to live with it. For Imlie I am still willing to give them a pass bcz we just can't ignore how manasvi's unprofessionalism cost them their major plotlines, and somewhere progressive storylines.
But I just wish that they buckle up and start showing good plots
This. ITV makers really should start considering the prospect of making finite shows. Though housewives and older folks remain their main target audience, I think it’s time for them to recognise that their viewership is expanding well beyond that. People are starting to extensively reflect on and discuss the rationale of tv plots and characters a whole lot more now than they used to 10-15 years ago. And with the numerous options widely available today (across both platforms and languages), they need to acknowledge the need to start doing things differently in order to stay relevant and competitive. Definitely give a hard rethink to poorly sketched, regressive plots, and typical, outdated tropes.
