OMG! there is hot air balloon as well? I went bonkers just watching that dance clip ( was it sangeet or mehandi).

It was watching a thriller... waiting for her to fall into the pool due to lack of visibility from the ghoonghat she had covering her face, twirling right at the edge of it

I want to know. How extravagant are middle class family wedding celebrations in India now-a-days?

I watched the clip of AK visiting the SH and discussed about it on AF since it was posted there. I could not sympathize with him when he shed tears. Did not find anything painful in that scene. I felt disconnected.

Weddings done with full rituals are always fun to attend... The concept of spending on weddings irrespective of the class is still important in Indian society.... People are still loving the concept of weddings done with functions... However there are people who also believe that it's a waste of money and donot like all this .

However if you are talking about middle class people this class enjoys every bit of such weddings full families attend even if they have to travel it's ok with them .. And lower class people have such weddings only .. Even if they struggle to meet their ends...

These include the domestic help class..

The families of Akshu n Abhi are hardly middle-class! They are certainly shown to be filthy rich!

But no matter rhe class, most families these days tend to spend way beyond their means. Even in Maharashtrians, who earlier used to have only a very small scale engagement n wedding, we now have a full blown mehendi, Sangeet, cocktail parties and what not

Maybe bcoz I also saw only this clip, I also couldn't emphasize with Anuj.
